Not necessarily . He’s come back late, which will take him time to get used to the pace of the prem, plus his fitness levels may need to increase. He’s been notorious as a slow starter after coming back from injury, and at the beginning of the season. Harry obviously doesn’t want to be there but that may be the reason, part of reasons or even no reason why he isn’t scoring and playing at his best. Levy has messed up again by not letting him go in the summer.

Spurs best player is son, he carries that team he wants to be there and he steps up against the bigger teams. City, chelsea, utd, even in the derby. When was the last time kane score against united, city, liverpool? And not burnley and huddersfield? So overrated it’s unreal

@@chriswilliamson7694 I believe Son is better than Kane. When Kane's injured Son steps up and gets goals and wins matches. When Son's injured Kane isn't able to do the same. Son does all the dirty work. I'm not saying Kane's a bad player. He's a great player you just look at his goals record, but Son is Tottenham's main man in my opinion.

Kane gets accused of 'bottling' (idiotic term but gets used nevertheless) the CL final, those EFL Cup finals, FA Cup semis etc. If he 'bottled' them then so did Son, surely? What did he go in any of those matches? This whole idea of Son 'stepping up' when Kane doesn't (or is injured) is based on one Champions League tie against City, where Spurs were very lucky to go through. And they wouldn't have even got into the knockout stages that year in the first place without Kane's two late goals to turn around that group game against PSV. Their domestic form was absolutely dreadful during that same period, and it suffered early in the 2016-17 season (their best under Pochettino) when Kane was out, too. Had he been fit all season they might well have edged Chelsea for the league. As for Son 'doing all the work', what is this based on exactly? Just another line people throw about because they've heard other people saying it, without thinking about what it means. I think you'll find it was Kane who assisted Son more than vice versa last season for instance - while at the same time scoring more goals in fewer appearances himself. Son trailed off badly after Christmas last season, which nobody talks about. Yeah, he's got some goals against Man City or whatever in wins which ultimately lead to nothing. That's nothing Kane hasn't done plenty of times before. I'm still waiting for someone to give me some proper reasons, stats, evidence etc. for these claims re: Kane and Son, but they never do.

Rooney was made to drop deep not because he lost legs but he didn’t have quality players creating from the mid thus he had to take the onus, something similar is happening to Kane thus he needs to take a stand and say I’ll play as a striker or not at all.

Harry Kane struggled at the start of the euros. Sterling was our top scorer. Kane for England was coming to deep. £100+ for Kane. Every season we talk about Kane not scoring and looking board. Liverpool where poor in CL final previously. Kane had the opportunity to turn up and show his goal scoring brilliance but didn't. Time and time again Kane has been poor. Can't keep blaming Tottenham and the players around him. I don't think City will go back for him.

His legs have deserted him and he lacks the intensity of the rest of that team. He's never been pacey, but he's always been a good finisher and passer of the ball means, and miles better than any other England striker He's not a constant topic of discussion. He's being talked about now because of the whole failed move to City and his current poor form (which isn't a new thing, kane has started the season slow plenty of times and still ended up scoring for fun)

There are a ton of strikers without pace who actually lead the line Kane can not or chooses not to. He doesn’t press with intensity which served us no good against Italy. @@jantran5349 , they were incredibly lucky to get through those ties against Man City and Ajax, especially the latter. Totally outplayed for the most part. I think yoully find their league form went down the toilet during that same period when Kane was injured. And anyway, he was the primary reason they got out of the group stage of the Champions League anyway. There'd have been no knockout stages without his late goals against PSV.

Don't think there are many teams harry kane would fit right in in modern football if he doesn't work on his pace. Maybe a team like man city dominating possession? But still doesn't convince me watching him playing for england national team that is more of a team like man city. Of course kane would score because the whole team adjusts to his pace. Zlatan has never been known for his pace and he's played for loads of tip teams and done well. His lack of pace means he drops deep, which is why he creates so many chances for his teammates. City love a false 9 as well, which would suit kane pretty well. Kane scores because he's a good finisher, he'd be banging in loads more getting fed off City's midfielders or Chelsea's midfield

Kane is playing as expected. Last couple of seasons pundits have well over rated him, which puts Kane under a microscope, adding more pressure to him. But he is not as good as the likes of Goughy make out. Don’t get me wrong he’s still good, but not as good as pundits make out.

Have people forgotten that in 8 matches vs the top 4 last season, Kane scored in only one game?! Have people forgotten that for 99% of the Euro, he could barely run?! Why is his poor form suddenly a surprise?? He can't run, doesn't run channels, doesn't stretch defences, doesn't hold up the ball, doesn't compete in the air and just runs at pedestrian pace. That was Kane at the Euro's too.

He's still at Spurs because he's not worth anywhere near 150 million quid. He's 28 years old and anyone with eyes knows his legs have gone he's lost a lot of pace and even for England he drops deep constantly, he doesn't run channels, he doesn't hold the ball up, his aerial ability is woeful outside the box he only offers goals and if he isn't scoring it's like playing with 10 men. Throw in he goes missing in every big game I've ever seen him in and the over hyped Kane love in the media has baffles me.

Obviously they knew Spurs would reject that and expect more but they only messed in the hope of unsettling the player to get him for cheaper next window. Anybody with half a football brain knows that when a player desperately wants to leave, they eventually get their wish because they either train by themselves or not play anywhere near their best. I’m going to make a prediction, Nuno will feel Harry doesn’t fit his plans and will believe his price could help him rebuild his team and Harry will get his wish in January for around 100-130m
