Kansas moms killing case: Neighbor says 'We're not cultists or demons' | Banfield

A local man who saw police find the two Kansas moms' bodies knew both victims and the suspects involved in the murder investigation. He tells NewsNation's senior national correspondent Brian Entin that the town is worried about being associated with what has happened. "The people in this county are good people. His subtext is saying show respect for us farmers and ranchers because we provide for the whole country, and as such we are good people and powerful as a group who stick together. (when someone gets in our way they are dealt with) It’s well documented that there is a certain mindset prevalent in the south ie the Hatfields and McCoys. That mindset is transferred generationally and has migrated throughout the whole nation. Most of the country can rationalize acts of violence as keeping people in line. It is ingrained to demand respect and protect their own. The reporter should have asked, ‘Would you have turned them in?’ The girl that dared to go against the family and community is indeed Brave.

Brian is doing a great job reporting on this tragedy. I don't have much respect for the person he interviewed. Two innocent mother's lost their lives. The other person I feel for is CW. I have to wonder how this case is going to be handled. I would suspect there would be 4 separate trials. I feel for CW having to testify in all 4 trials and the toll that is going to take. Plus, we all know how Defense Attorney's can act during a trial while trying to protect their client so I'm concerned for CW. Prayers for the victims, their family's and especially for CW. I pray CW is kept safe.

To him, something in this culture breeds far too many people with serious mental issues that go untreated or unrecognized until it's too late. One video showed the police taking a long horse trailer, that the women may have been hauled in. Makes me wonder if the original plan was to load the SUV in it and bury the whole thing. Leaving the SUV with evidence would be why the "mission" didn't go as planned.

They can't have it both ways. Either everyone knows everyone or they didn't know them as well as they thought. If you're going to claim to know someone then that WILL make you guilty by association. Never heard of" lay down with dogs come up with fleas"?

He is right. People cannot be held responsible for the actions of others. To place a bad light on the whole community for the actions of those 4 is wrong. Those four were capable of doing the ultimate sin no matter where they lived and should bear the judgement alone.
