That is Mark Jones, he splits his time doing Sacramento Kings games and NBA games for ESPN, as well as college football. I think he did men’s & womens college basketball & WNBA but I haven’t heard him on that lately so I’m not sure... When it was announced he was going to replace Grant Napear calling Kings games a few years ago I was like “Is this dude adding hours to his day? How does he have the time for all this?”. But, yeah, he’s known for utilizing quite a bit of one liners in his announcing duties.
They didn’t play Welch from what was seen. Every time he plays he changes the game and makes teams nervous. Hayden is good but not as impactful as Welch.
Shilo is an awful defensive back. He's not even FBS caliber and is only on the team because of nepotism. Deion's downfall will be his pride. I know Arizona is going to be out to prove a point next weekend after they lost to BYU today.
I think I just witnessed Shilo Sanders play the worse game by a S that I’ve seen in a long time. Why rush him back into the lineup. At least have him on a pitch count. Mix some zone in when you have the lead.
@@johnnydoe9169 I think it’s more with his eyes to be honest. He’s not trusting what he’s seeing. Same thing with Trevor woods when he was playing. It’s like a confidence thing.
Y’all talkin about CU defense not showing up. Maybe K State actually knows how to run the ball. Giddens put on a master class performance. Give credit where it’s due.
We literally already knew the chemistry would be OFF with Shilo back on the field. He is just not that good of a safety. He picks the worst angles and gets shook too much. It has been like this since he came to Colorado. They have him 20+ yards deep alone and he doesn't know which way to go.
He doesn’t past the eye test either tbh , he makes everything look so hard. There’s zero fluidity in his game .. doesn’t seem to have very good instincts either.
A totally winnable game for Colorado. Will Sheppard is absolutely not a reliable clutch player, it is a 50/50 chance with him. For Colorado not to be in field goal range within 2 minutes is uncharacteristic. Simply unacceptable. Wide receivers during clutch time must be able to find a way to make the catch otherwise CU must use someone else who can. Shilo should have been replaced long time ago after a few missed tackles. Unacceptable to keep him in game when there were others available. Colorado's first job is finding a way to win. If any player is not performing to task, replace them. If any player misses a catch at any point, they are not to be afforded an opportunity to miss during clutch moments. Colorado's offensive line must find a way to do better. This was not acceptable.
@@descartes_8696 Shadeur has an extensive history of losing major yards because of running backwards from pass rushes then getting sacked instead of throwing the ball away.
Deion isn't a real coach. He's a motivational speaker who uses his name recognition to recruit young men who don't know any better. He was thoroughly outcoached on that final KSU possession. If he had played zone, Kansas State would have shredded Colorado on the ground.
Dumbest coaching staff in the ncaa. Calling unnecessary timeouts, trying to run the ball when you’re (-), going man with no safety over the top… it’s just insane to me, how terrible the play calling is for this team…
They really don't like what prime is doing as a coach. I watched the whole game and there was a lot of fouls against Colorado that wasn't called. But the PI at the end of the game was so blatantly atrocious
Who is “they” refs always make bad calls every game. Win convincingly and it should come down to that. What was atrocious was Shedurs INT to start the 4th quarter.
Hunter is going to need to make a choice offense if defense. He cannot be out there trying to tackle 230 lb running backs and then take hits from 220 lb linebackers and expect to make it out injury free
Well said and that's what people don't understand i watched when they played Nebraska and that big tight end was blocking hunter and pushed him 5 yard down field. He's light weight and you can tell he don't hit the weights hard i agree with you 100 percent
Facts! They can pretend Hunter is superman because of his athleticism but the weight & size differential is crucial. VW’s can’t keep hitting & being hit by Mack trucks without getting destroyed! It’s just a matter of time. Knees, shoulders, spine or neck going.
@@phyllisloforti3015that’s exactly what I was thinking. If he did, that was stupid. 1 and some change left and not one short route for a 4th & 5 conversion is wild.
They always want to go for it all on the first place they should of ran a similar play like the play they scored on. Defense has to do better stopping the run and colorado still has to do better running the ball. And Shedure needs to learn to get rid of the ball if nothing is there. He holds the ball way to long
Honestly being up against the potential Big-12 winner with 2 mins left is impressive. I thought it wasn't going to be close. So this is still an impressive lost, had Shilo been left out the game and Carter Stoutmire in the game, the results may have been different.
Besides injuries to Hunter and some other top players. Colorado defense didn't show up. They can't stop K-state rushing attack and gave up big plays at the end.
The Colorado coaching staff is so bad… why are you not in ZONE defense?!? Travis hunter is not on the field. You do not need to do a full out blitz, leaving your worst DB on their best WR… unreal!
@@logicalman1172 don’t matter what year it is. They’re terrible! The players can only do so much.. the coaching staff knows the personnel on the field. So why put them in a position to fail ?
You winning and the other team need a Touchdown to take the lead why are you in man ??? Without your best man cover guy on the field cause an injury???
Because you are a man defense team, they are nowhere near a good zone coverage team and would have got picked apart on the ground. They needed to have trav no if and buts about it. He eliminates one half of the field. And offensively we already know what he does
@@WeKnow740 yes I understand but if I’m K state OC I’m telling my guys beat your man on this play and we have a chance to put points up. … and that’s exactly what happened. You’re leading you could play a man but a coverage man. Why press the corner but don’t touch him??
Kansas State won this game inspite of all the Late Night Hype, all the Hall of Famers on the Colorado sidelines, all the false start call the second they were 1st and 10 in the red zone, all the commentators and replay booth questioning every 1st down and every point scored by the Wildcats, all the commentators cheering when Avery Johnson was sacked even though Sanders was sacked just as many times not a peep, not to mention when Colorado called their 2nd Timeout in the 1st half it was never taken off the board!!! SO QUIT YA CRYING BUFF FANS!! they had no running game, just tunnel screens and long bombs and a fluke INT, PERIOD!!!!!!
It was some weird stuff going on tonight. I believe Travis could have went back and they didn’t play or use Welch who has been one of their biggest bright sides to the season. Shilo came back too soon and is not ready yet to tackle with his arm healing from being broken. They have to stop playing man on 3rd down and play cover packages more.
Shadeur dancing and rapping on the sideline when they took the lead. Celebrating too early. Shilo got man handled by Giddens all night. Hunter injured again and is too frail for all those snaps both ways. Shadeur is a couple more hits from being seriously injured again.
Shouldn't have been thrown all the way down field anyway, Trying to be greedy , when you only needed 5 yards and Game on the line...Should have hit the man in the middle on the slant💯
The problem with this program is that not only are they deficient in most areas. Their attitudes and flamboyance just breeds disdain from their opponent. I mean K State was mocking them all night with their own stupid emotes. Their whole culture just entices opponent aggression. And if you’re gonna talk smack. Expect swift rebuttals. Especially against better competition. I doubt Deion will be there much longer.
OK...I agree......thats why you have 2 ears and only one mouth. (Goes for Deion , too) Stop the yippin before games and save the celebrating for post game.......3 minutes to go is not secure for this team. Sorry, they couldnt seal the deal. Heartbreaking for me and fans. How long??????
@@phyllisloforti3015If he isn't he probably go to FSU with his new QB. But I think CU has had MASSIVE improvements cause before he got there Colorado was an absolute dumpster fire!
Shedeur gets sacked because Colorado has one of the worst offensive lines in football. He could contend for a National Title at a legitimate football school.
For one the WR are not open and second the o-line can't block long enough for the WR to finish their route. And K State knows that as well it's not hard to figure out dude. He's playing behind one of the worst o-line in college football.
That's been an ongoing problem the last two seasons. I expected him to improve on this over the offseason but it's still the same. It's either bad coaching, or he won't work to fix this. He's going to get eaten alive by NFL pass rushers.
"he's gotta be jam cuz jelly doesn't shake like that" "They have been in his chest all night like bronchitis" Yo this color commentator was spitting heat, he needs to get called up to the NFL lmfao😂🔥
The fact that CU was even in this game shows how far Coach Sanders has brought this team. I'm impressed, because KSU is a very tough, established program. Colorado's skill positions are as good as most teams in the country. They just need size now. Good win by KSU, though. Also, Hook 'Em!
I don't know when they started coaching QB's to backup 20 yards before passing but I'm not a fan....too many sacks were blamed on the line when Sanders was at fault for CU
Travis ans SS could’ve went to any college. R ey choose to go to roe own way and not be own s by some White coach. I’m so happy he’s been able to play the way he wants. CP is letting him. He’s still going to try NFL ! All your favorite players from Alabama goes too. But they’re buss. So think about making yo it own path in life ans stip following MF
there is something wrong with this Colorado team just when you think they raking a step in he right direction they throw up a stinker like this smh its so freaking frustrating to watch
@@deon3133 i cant even argue with these losses will affect any chance of CFP or even new years six bowl this is another bad loss even if its a decent K State team
Well I kinda agree with you but Colorado lost O miller hunter and horn to injury and still had a chance to Win I just hope Robert Livingston learns something from this game up 4pts why play man they need a TD to beat you?
@@sterlinggrier734 they are a man defense scheme through and through. It’s their comfort zone. The man isn’t the problem the problem is when your dbs press they need to make contact at the line that’s the point of pressing to be physical. When you press and then just back pedal your at a disadvantage immediately.
This comment section has set a Guinness book world record for haters in one comment section.... Congratulations.... CU lost by 3... You would think they got blown out .... And the amount of Shade Shilo gets is unreal... Smh... It's comical
@@troystation2526 he had -50 rushing yards as well because he dropped back 20 yards every pass play "no other qb doing that" either. Like i said, (Hes Above Average) he just not Heisman worthy. He's not an all time great, If you say he is your just Di*k riden. He's the reason they win games they shouldnt win but he's also the reason they have close games with teams they should blow out
2:37 As someone who has seen the Dion Sanders dance countless times, seeing it again in 2024 gives me goosebumps. This is why I say I'm crazy every fall Sunday(Korean time)....
Nobody cares about Colorado if you remove the Deion factor. People initially like his boisterous personality, however, the persistent media attention combined with him being loud very quickly turns from intrigue to annoyance because he is obnoxious and unsuccessful. (Colorado is not a new team, it is just a new team for you. They have the same amount of 10 wins seasons as Miami over the past 20 seasons).
They are a new team every season with all the players exiting and coming aboard via the transfer portal under Deion. I think Deion believes he can create an insta success team without good coaching.
@@FestusParker-sm9gg fair enough, I cannot argue that each season is technically a new team for Colorado. Good thing every single team that is not Colorado has the perfectly identical roster from the year before, otherwise every year teams other than Colorado would be new teams
@@Foggydidwhat you don't seem to get it. Deion isn't developing any continuity by replacing most of the team every year instead of creating continuity then you couple that with poor coaching.
CU maxed out at 4 wins last year. They currently at 4-2. To take the next step they are going to have to beat a ranked team. They have issues on defense.
Let’s all take a second to take a breath. Now let’s acknowledge how hilarious it is that this entire thread is about a game between Kansas state and Colorado. Genuinely, congratulations on that for fans of each team
The ball was uncatchable. Shedeur once again choked in the biggest of moments. How are you a quarterback yet you can't throw a ball anywhere near your intended receiver...
When Travis Hunter went down I felt like it was a great opportunity for Shedeur to have his Heisman moment. The pick he threw and the huge sacks he took really overshadow the things he did well and cause him to still be searching for a memorable Heisman moment.
From 1-11 to 3-11 to starting the season 4-2? Y’all are just gonna hate until Jesus comes back. The team is improving, they still have a lot of work but they are improving
Yes. They went 1. . 11. But why ignore all the other years? They won 6 games the year b4 they only won 1. And winning 1 more game a year ain't a turn around. Last year was 4 and 0. Then they loss every game. 4 nd 11. This year they might win 5 and go 5 and 10. By the year 2032 they can go 9 and 2. According to ur thinking
