I missed this so much. Seriously, no one on RU-vid that play these type of soundtracks with that much classical techniques. All other pianists, simply play the chords and add a lot of fast arppegio when they want more virtuosity. All your arrangements, however, contains much more than that and are simply genius pieces of music. You can't leave us!
YO!! WELCOME BACK ANIMENZ! :D I know how it feels man ;_; For the past few 3 to 5 weeks, I had been like that too. I started on 3 other songs, Parasyte ED, Akatsuki no Yona OP2, And Steins;Gate movie ED. But I just never got around to finishing it. I wasn't satisfied with my arrangement. And somehow, I just couldn't get myself to play the piano, for more than 7 days in a row I didn't touch the piano. Which is really extremely weird because for 2-3 years straight, I've pretty much never failed to play the piano every single day. Or maybe once in a while, a couple of days. I thought I was losing my passion for piano. Nothing depressing was going on in my life at that time so I further confirmed I may be losing my feel for piano. 4 days ago, I impromptu decided to record an original song of mine and uploaded it. After uploading it, I received a lot of motivating comments. It was more motivating than my other covers because, it was my original composition. It is music that came from my heart and people liked it :D And so, I've returned to the piano yesterday, and it felt great :D Musicians go through periods of time with no motivation or just unable to find that spark of creativity for their art piece. But that'll eventually end and we'll return to our instrument in the end :) 10 years from now, we'll still be playing the piano, with the same pair of hands, but with a larger passion than ever, all for that one powerful instrument, the Piano :D So... ONWARDS DESU :3 Btw nice jumps towards the end. I got goosebumps when it climaxed at the bass jumps :D

Piano Around the World I played french horn for two years but because of change of my schedule I had to change to trumpet. Next year I plan to go back to french horn and mellophone. I didn't really want to play trumpet at first but I was place in jazz band and had to adjust. I never though of posting any videos of me playing, I just have to figure out how to do it.
Welcome back Animenz! :) I think every has a period in their life where they lose inspiration or have a really hard time picking up their passion. But I think if you get through this period, you will only get stronger :). You will get through this with people who support you, like friends, family or in this case, your subscribers. This has become one of my absolute favorite work of yours! I haven't even played Kantai Collection and neither have I watched the anime but musically speaking this is just such an absolute masterpiece!!! I still have no idea how you can arrange, let alone play like this!
Mmh this arrangement seems to be one of your most difficult imo. It's extremely technical, there's a lot of scales and arpeggios, and the left hand has to move and jump with a tremendous speed sometimes. One of your most interesting work, I think! :)
I know that I'm 4 years late to the party. But the last part... the last part. I don't know why, but it always brings tears to my eyes. Not tears of sadness, but rather tears of joy. Tears of accomplishing something great. Tears of victory. Every time I hear the last part I imagine the hero for whom this piece is played for, as in his mind he goes through all his great deeds. And once it gets to the most energetic part, I can't help but imagine the same hero standing there, with his hand raised triumphantly, filled with joy and pride of his accomplishments and his people feeling this joy with him. I do have a very emotional approach to this music. And I'm not afraid to shed a tear every time I hear it.
Oh my God, that's awesome! I recognized nearly all soundtracks from the Game almost immediately. And it's so beautiful too. I'm just amazed by that. I really like it, good work!

Been playing KanColle? Me too, new player and this game sucks the time right out of you. Addicted to this game and what makes matters worse is the fact that it can be played just about anywhere a computer is. Good thing is you can do other things while playing it.
The mysterious feels. Every time you touch that piano. Your playing is lovely and it motivates me to go to my piano and play songs as well. I really love happy melodies such as 6:31. Especially the high notes-you-play after that! Love it!

If you watch from 6:46 - 6:51 at 6:48 Animenz; your left hand went right but then you quickly realized it shouldn't (I'm guessing he messed up here because it didn't look like he played anything, but it could be the camera angle) so you quickly went back to the left to play the part perfectly.. I love this soundtrack and i'm really impressed by it, but if you really did mess up there I'm more impressed at how quickly you realized you messed up and then fixed it instantaneously. It may seem like anyone could fix it to people that don't play the piano, but in reality you only had a fraction of a second to make a decision to stay in tempo. I guess I have a lot of work to do if I ever want to recover that great. Great Work on the Soundtrack! Love this anime too. :)
Animenz is everyone's dream of fun and enjoyment in anime music. It's as if he created the amusement of adult so we can go back to enjoy our youth time. I start from playing his transcription piece "All in Good Time" and "Brave Song," now it's passed more than 4 years. (Can't remember how much time passed.) cover videos are always reflective of how popular the original song/anime it was from is, but if it was judged purely on its musical merit, this is definitely among your best arrangements of all time! played flawlessly as well

You are amazing. I stopped taking lessons a few years ago because I'm not really passionate about pianos, and I rarely touches piano anymore since then. But after finding your channel and listening to all your arrangements and your playing, I was simply dumbfounded and realized how beautiful piano pieces can be even if it's not classical. I love all your arrangements because they are challenging, and I always feel very accomplished when I finally get through your arrangements. We will always support you!

I go on youtube everyday just to see if you uploaded a new video. If it wasn't for you I was already retired from playing classical and there just wasn't any piece of music that interested me, but you made me change my mind and the new found passion is what motivates me now to play the piano :)

hey man, i am also a new kancolle player and it is freaking damn addictive. I know how it feels like to suffer from a blockade and it seems like you can't seem to do anything at all. but a change of pace often helps in this situation (we both playing kancolle) and from there you will find something that will reignite the passion in your heart again. I got a lot of good laughs out of Kantai Collection while I watched it, and they weren't all good laughs. A lot of them were about how silly the anime was. Ultimately it ended up being a pretty happy/hopeful anime which is something I was pretty satisfied with. But this melody is just amazing. I can't help but describe it as a kind of euphoria, and I'm sure that my headphones aren't good enough to reproduce it. The one other anime that comes to mind that gives me that kind of feeling for the music is ARIA. Thank you for your hard work. And most of all, we all have our ups and downs. Don't ever feel too pressured by what you love to do.
I've watched all of your videos countless times, but this piece gave this intense and joyous vibe that I have only gotten a couple times. Your inspiration from the soundtrack also gave me inspiration as well to do even greater on the piano. The arrangement and structure of the piece was spectacular and grand in which it truly felt distinct among your other arrangements. I can't put my finger on it, but thank you so much Animenz for everything you have done, and I hope that you'll continue to be even greater than before (insert quote/pun here).

Please take care of yourself and remember that RU-vid is just a hobby and one major part of your life. So just take a break when you need it. Ich hab Kancolle bis jetzt nicht gesehen, aber das was du hier auf die Beine gestellt hast ist echt verdammt schön.. Blockaden hat jeder mal.. egal, wie viel Talent man in etwas hat oder wie sehr es einem am Herzen liegt, manchmal geht es einfach nicht. Aber seh es so, umso genialer ist das Gefühl wenn man dann nach der Durststrecke wieder durchstartet und sich die Blockade löst.
