Spyderco definitely have a slipjoint version of it from me it does take a little while to get things going into production though.

Yes the G10 will definitely be heavier than the CF version. Glad you managed to score at least one of the exclusives.

The detent makes such a huge impact on the action of a folder. All the Kapara's I have tried have been super consistent. Spyderco have done a great job with it.

I can understand that. It depends a lot on what you use the knife for. Glad that you could mod it to suit your needs better.

Jason, I had the same gripe with my Kapara. Tried to find aftermarket micarta scales for it but none were to be found. Spoke with Justin Jobe (OCD-4-EDC) about it and he suggested bead blasting the carbon fiber so I sent them to him and voila, they came back with just enough texture to not be slick but still looked great. So, you might want to think about having your scales bead blasted to give them some texture.

I have seen a few on Instagram but I would say the G10 ones have a touch more grip than the Carbon Fibre version.

I still have my fingers crossed there will eventually be a salt version

There is some talk of a smaller Kapara in the works with a compression lock. There is also a slipjoint version I have done in a smaller size. There isn't much more detail about it out there but you can find a few mentions of it in the Spyderco Forums.
