Today we are making Karelian Pies. They are traditionally eaten in Finland, my home. Very delicious with egg-butter.

MARJATTA’S RECIPE: (for around 20 pcs.)
Marjatta’s Karelian Pies / Marjattan Karjalan piirakkat
Filling/Rice Porridge :
250 ml Water 💧
250 ml Rice 🍚
500 ml Milk 🥛
1 tsp Salt 🧂
Dough:
100 ml Water 💧
1/2 tsp Salt 🧂
120 ml wheat flour
120 ml rye flour
Spread / Egg butter (Munavoi):
1 1/2 tsp Salt🧂
50g Butter 🧈
1-2 hard boiled (approx.15 minutes) Eggs 🥚
