I am a forensic nurse examiner. The marks on his arms are dog bites. Those are not lacerations from a tail light in fact it would be impossible for a tail light to have created those lacerations. This is based on directionality of the injuries and the fact that the injuries are from wrist to armpit. The other issues I have are with some of the other injuries. They are not consistent with being hit by an SUV at 24 MP. There are too many questions that just don't add up based wholly on evidence.
@barbaramay1866
@barbaramay1866 2 дня назад
They are not dog bites. They don’t even go around the arm, so how does that happen? What kind of dog bites a person and cleans up its own DNA so that it totally disappears? C’mon people. Use your common sense.

@@barbaramay1866 Do you even know what to expect about DNA evidence? How prevalent would it be in wounds like this? Would environmental conditions affect it? Did the body come into contact with chemicals that would damage or hide DNA? How/when were the swabs taken? Were best practices followed? Was the chain of custody recorded/followed? We’re lab practices correct? We’re sample storage processes/conditions correct? These were all questions raised, and it’s why DNA evidence is not the keystone in most cases. This is real life, not CSI TV. However, multiple experts confirmed the wounds are consistent with dog bites. No person explained with certainty and credibility another cause for those wounds.

@@seashelle73 The sweatshirt was swabbed and there was no dog DNA. How could a dog bite through clothing and leave no DNA? Also, there is no way Chloe bit this gentle man. She was never trained as an attack dog. She was their pet. Normal dogs don't morph into viciousness even if there was a fight. The fight is insane to think they beat their friend to death and blamed Karen Read. I don't understand why people don't see that Karen Read is the one who has been trying to frame them for killing John. Even the Feds said John was never in the house and that there was no evidence of a cover-up.

I’m afraid this will turn into another Casey Anthony verdict. A juror came out and said they thought the prosecution had to prove how Caylee died in order to find Casey guilty. He said if they had known that wasn’t the case, they all would have voted guilty. In this case, I’m afraid the jurors think the defense had to prove the coverup in order for them to vote not guilty. I don’t think they fully understand the directions. That only the prosecution had to prove their theory beyond reasonable doubt, not the defense. And that if they can’t prove beyond a doubt that he was hit by her car, they should all vote not guilty. Either they’re taking time trying to prove defense theory bcuz they think they hv to, or we have 1 juror being stubborn.

Here's how: Fact: Karen lied when she said she left him at the bar. Karen lied when she left VM to John stating she was at her home. Karen; (I believe aprox 5am), said "he's dead". Karen's car, aprox 5am, headed towards the crime scene right before she said "he's dead". Karen repeatedly stated "I hit him I hit him I hit him" (surprised CW didn't enter into evidence her attorney first stating she did it and was sorry it was an accident) Karen is the only one in the car, while in back seat, that spots his body, in the dark, not street light, camouflaged under snow. The other 2 in the car didn't even see him until she ran up to him. (and one of those witnesses DEFINITELY had no connection to the "conspiracy") She was drunk Data shows he never entered the house. Her voicemails and children's testimony indicates she has issues and "all was not well in relationship". Missing video from John's ring camera during crucial times. (definitely indicating cover up) Her "over acting" on the crime scene, classic of guilty people. Especially women criminals. And then during trial NEVER a tear, not even remotely close. In fact she laughs. If you can't see through this OJ style defense then you have a closed mind. And coincidentally; the prosecution was not very good, just like the OJ trial. She might just get away with murder like him.

Ya but if they come to the conclusion that she did strike him with her car, they have a few other things to figure out. They are probably squabbling about involuntary or voluntary manslaughter. There's a really big chance we get a NG on the Murder & Hung jury on the rest. And I don't think the Commonwealth will bring charges again and want to go through all this embarrassment again. I live 2 towns away from Canton & the Commonwealth does not want to go through this a second time. They don't want the front page of the Boston Herald & Globe being about the "possible, corruption of their state police. They don't want the negative press they've been getting. So I think a hung jury is just as good as an acquittal in this case. Normally I would say a hung jury is bad for the defendant but in her case I don't think it is due to the state not wanting to go through all this negativity again.

You are 1,000% correct. In my humble opinion, I believe KR is not just not guilty, but that she’s actually innocent. I understand that the CW did not prove its case which makes KR at worst not guilty. My point is that I understand that at times KR may have come across as not likeable. However, that is not a valid reason to not find her not guilty. Neither is to try to justify (talk about irony) finding KR guilty because there is a dead police officer and JOK’s family deserves justice. I’m certain that the hold-out jurors know that the CW is not going to charge their own witnesses (at least two of the CW’s own witnesses were directly involved in JOK’s murder) with his murder. Can you imagine the mess they would have to clean up by charging several witnesses with perjury, then charging some of them with covering up the murder and then actual murder charges. So sorry for getting carried away. Mad props to you for standing firmly in your square. It is truly sad that there are people blind to the facts and for one reason or other, they choose to think that way. They have no critical thinking skills. What is also sad, this goes a lot deeper than just a matter of differences of opinion. The people that you described are the reason why our society continues to deteriate. I’m referring to people that are considered normal and are supposed to be able to think for themselves.

I am still so shocked that people that think KR is guilty will use the prosecutions witness statements as fodder for their arguments but ignore that there is hard proof that most of those statements changed overtime, they had a biased lead investigator who did not follow standard protocal in any aspect of the investigation and what I thought was common sense that if a 7300 pound vehicle hits a person hard enough to obliterate the taillight and project a person 30 feet there is going to be damage to the body. I remember getting tackled by my brother when I was little and he probably weighed about 7200 pounds less than the Lexus but I always had bruises.

If the jury is deliberating anything like many of the commenters on these videos that get bogged down with lesser relevant details. As Peter mentioned, the key question is did she hit him with her car? Answer that and you have your answer. In my opinion that's not guilty. If you believe she did, then you'd have to believe she hit just his arm, at 24mph, that didn't break it or left any bruises, just linear scratches and punctures. Then he did a pirouette and was launched 30ft while still holding his glass.

I was on federal jury duty in Feb for a case that had 13 days of testimony. The minute we were sent to the deliberation room, everything became complicated. You learn that no one sees things the same. It was fascinating the different perspectives people have. We deliberated for 4 days on 7 counts. Two of which we had unanimously decided within 1/2 day. We ended up hung on 1 count after we told the judge we could be there for months & it wasn’t changing. People were “that” set in their decision. My point in this, is that while it looks like an easy decision for many of us, and that includes myself, every little word in that deliberation room carries immense weight & can change the whole meaning of a charge. Fingers crossed for a verdict tomro! #Freekarenread #juisticeforjohnokeefe

Yes, great comment. When I was on a jury I was the only holdout during a trial. I had listened very carefully during trial and took as many notes as I could. However, I was the only one to vote not guilty every time we did a jury count. None of the jurors words or explanations were convincing me to change my mind so that we could come to a unanimous decision. Then one day the foreman who happened to have a photographic memory in addition to excellent drawing, engineering and mathematic skills stood up and went over to the chalkboard in front of everyone to try to explain their reasonings to me visually by drawing certain aspects and scenes of the case on the chalkboard. It annoyed me at first as everyone's eyes were focused on me and I did feel pressured that he was putting me on the spot like that. But eventually by being able to see things explained visually like that I was able to see I was wrong and could humble myself enough to admit it and change my vote to Guilty. I agree with your comment so much because it's so true everything is very different when you're in the deliberation room. We as people are different ourselves such as in the way we absorb information and think like with my situation some of us are just more visual than others. Also we all communicate differently so we all have to get comfortable with each other and find that common ground to be able to work from. It has been such a long time since I was on a jury. I really hope I can do it again some day. Even though it wasn't easy I really liked being a part of the process. But now this trial is a whole other story lol.
