I love how your music fits what you talk about. I was getting so pumped up hearing about the battle of backfire pass! I had a similar moment in the Balthazar video when you told the story of him coming to the empires aid during a battle with beastmen. Subbed and liked keep it up you're doing great!

Only weapons that rival ghal Maraz are the sword of khaine and the revered spear. To bad in table top the spear just gives you +1 strength like any other spear and extra combat rez

I was having this campaign in Total war:wh 2. Of course modded for realism and lorefriendly stuff and difficulty. Well, Karl united the empire (Now i play with Mixu's lords because i needed the flair). Was on pretty good terms with most "Good races". Except Bretonnia, whom Karl had a small useless falling out with. Now we had beaten away the small chaos incursions up to the point when Archaon himself decided to show. Province after province started to fall. Karl tried to call for aid. But the dwarves were busy with Grimgor who had united all the Greenskin tribes. The High elves would never make it. The wood elves tried to make it to altdorf which at this point was Karl's last stand. But in the south two large armies were approaching at a really fast pace. Now i only had 3 turns before i had to go into a siege battle. But against 4 chaos armies... Well shit. 1 turn goes these 2 armies approaches even further. It's Louen and Alberic (They confederated sometime earlier). Karl started to get hopeful now and there were only 2 turns left. 1 turn left and they were at the very gates of altdorf yet chaos did not change focus. I quickly ask Louen for an military alliance, he accept. The turn goes but chaos does nothing, and i look at the banner clutter and notice that Orion is standing smack in the middle. Karl already had an alliance with them. They must've used the world root path. CHARGE FOR SIGMAR. Battle ensues. Karl puts up a defensive position outside Altdorf. Chaos horde charges. They go for the Imperial lines. Bretonnia smacks into the chaos rear flank while Orion and his troops reinforces the imperial lines with better archers. Then charge through the defensive line to run towards the approaching army. Karl flies towards archaon to challenge him at single combat. Karl wins, fly to aid the wood elves infantry and land right in the middle of a chosen troop the same time a charge of grail knights hits them. Louen lands as well. Orion decides to join the fray. Karl orders his Reiksguard to charge. Enemy routes. The light won that day.

Not into fantasy lore that much prefer 40k but listening to you explain End times stuff for each character I can tell it's a giant clusterfuck and bunch of asspulls. I can see why everyone tends to hate it.

End Times. The epitome of bad writing, and how to kill an universe... AOS IS NOT CANON!

Something thats always bugged me is how Ghal Maraz is an ancient Dwarf made weapon but it looks like something the modern empire would make. This problem actually shows up all over Warhammer Fantasy. Gitsnik for example is a powerful Chaos Dwarf rune axe but looks like some piece of shit an Orc blacksmith threw together. Pretty much every weapon that is owned by a character not from the culture that made it has this problem, which is a shame. You could get some real cool designs if you played up the juxtaposition.

So can anyone tell me is the empire and imperium of man the same thing or related anyway I'm confused how TW WH2 fits in the 40k universe

You know what. I’m just going to say it. Karl Franz is not that cool. Okay? He’s boring and the only thing he has going for him is a hammer and a bird cat. Change my mind.

Karl Franz was an ineffectual Emperor and a cardboard Emperor. A puppet of the system who passed an edict to ban the concept of mutants. Your Karl Franz who carries Ghal-Maraz (introduced in 4th edition) is actually Heinrich Toddbringer or Heinrich Lowestein from Advanced Heroquest, take your pick. GW screwed up their own background. Such a shame :(
