If Karl Pilkington is an act then that would make him literally the greatest actor to ever live. To be able to stay in character non-stop for around 15 years... Insane.
It's not an act per say, but I think Karl plays it up to a certain extent. I think he portrays an amped up version of himself -- so it _is_ an "act" in a sense. He's realized he can make a comfortable living doing so, so why wouldn't he keep doing it for as long as possible?

That’s basically the real message of the Bible right there lmao, but unfortunately a lot of people are like Karl and use “their fables” and their own whacky logic, rather than actual logic/god, while reading it. If you want to know what God/Logic was saying, through various parts of logos (the field of logical reasoning aka the concept of minds or collective consciousness), just understand what Ricky (ABCDE/logic) is trying to do for Karl (ABCD/mind)….lead him towards proper logical reasoning and true, formally reasoned knowledge. If you actually read prophets like Isaiah, even though they were mystics themselves, they had the same message for the religious/ignorant that an athiest logician has for modern Christians, whose beliefs defy the actual objective logic/God, and the message is “stop burning cow shit and worshipping bullshit thinking it will lead you to the promised land or a good marriage between you (mind) and I (logic)…” or in other words, “Stop thinking with your fuckin fables and use your brain!” Use logic, and make sure it’s THE objective and proper logic, not your own…. But people are a bunch of Karl’s and don’t pick this shit up very fast… “If A) and if B) then C)” and “if not then not”…if you devote yourself to reasoning with formal logic like this 👆 (not nearly as hard as it seems, in fact it’s way easier than being uncertain or wrong about shit because you skipped ahead of formal reasoning and “made a God unto yourself” by accepting your own improper reasoning out of arrogance) you won’t be led astray, you will have true and legitimate certainty, real enlightenment, and real wisdom, not a head full of myths, illusions and fables…
That said, I’ve caught Ricky reasoning improperly on quite a few topics, and Karl is an interesting part of logos to listen to for any philosopher, because he is both as lost in outer space as a mind can be sometimes, and then at others is able, from his unique perspective, able to point out a simple truth, or at least “a logic” (even bullshit thinking is a real thing and part of logic and can be said to explore a possibility that a complete reality should have some part of the mind exploring) that others would not see or speak up about… Even fiction is a part of literature and this is what highly rational people, like Ricky, often miss, and why they say silly things like “there is no God” or “if there was a God why would he allow __ (place your choice of illogical concept here)” and the answer is because THE one true God is completely synonymous with THE one true field of logic, or what I think is appropriate to call “The Construct of Logic”, and it is not just the logical or the rational but the illogical and the irrational as well. Those must be themselves if “I am that I am” and the one true logic/god is consistent, valid and tautological… Everything is everything by the same rules that logic/God made nothing nothing (0=0) and made nothing (non-existence) eternally non-existent. Logical people often cannot wrap their minds around insanity, much like the insane cannot truly fathom sanity, and why it matters, and why it necessarily exists. If you think about it with the analogy of building a skyscraper it’s a little easier to understand. One must start with a blueprint that contains all the data, that will inform the builder (a conscious mind) and will be there before the building, while the building is being built, and even kept after the building is built (logic’s immanence and omniscience). Then once the blueprint exists and you have all the resources needed to build the building (properties and elements of logic, with the properties and elements of physics being of extreme importance here) you actually begin “going up” by “digging down”… If someone came along at that point of building a skyscraper, with no knowledge of construction and was told “we’re building a building that’s gonna reach up into the sky”, they would probably say “you’re going the wrong way”, but like you need a strong foundation to make a 100 story skyscraper a logical reality, reality itself and any real paradise needs to be logical. Suffering a partially illogical existence, and a monotonous step by step process, where things cannot make logical jumps and still work (like in magic/fantasy) is the cost of ordering reality.
I swear on everything I have wanted to just sit down with Karl and have a genuine chat with him just to pick his brain! He’s smarter than he’s given credit for and is such a funny person in general! I’ve been a huge fan of his for over a decade!
