#Karpman #DramaTriangle #Victim
The drama triangle was originally developed by Dr. Stephen Karpman in which he established three roles that people participate in to manipulate others for self-gain. Dr. Karpman calls these roles the Victim, a one down position, the Persecutor, a one up position, and the Rescuer, another one up position. Check out this video and see if you or someone you know is caught up in an unhealthy or even toxic relationship. Comment below on what you found to be familiar, helpful, or something that you learned.

I’m the guy that will never say no. I also try to keep the peace and avoid conflict. I do play the victim role hardcore though passively. I don’t express it to others. I play the victim in my own life. I am self aware now though and looking for ways to stop rescuing since that is my main role. I was told to ask the other person what they need when they come to you for something. That helps you stop rescuing.

Verrrrry helpful!! I can see myself participating in each of these roles. Is that common when one has experienced trauma, namely with a suspected narcissist? Appreciate you! 👍🏼

Because Narcissistic personalities can create an abundance of emotions for their partners, it is very possible in order for you to try to maintain some semblance of order in your life or keep your sanity in tact, you very well had to switch roles in dealing with this personality type. Thanks for watching!

Interesting. I've played all 3 of the roles you spoke on (depending on the situation and the person I was dealing with at the time. Whats the FOURTH type of person in your opinion? Triangles aren't the only shape after all
