Thank you so much dear. So sweet of you. Nice to read your comments. I am shooting the mud pot and iron vessel seasoning video you requested. Will upload soon dear.
Thank u Mam, I watched your video fully. I also bought Karuppatti at many places in Chennai including that specific shop. Also i am very much aware of how much difficulty to make Karuppatti because Climbing Palm tree is much more difficult than coconut tree. Also many in that field of yester years were vanishing due to ages. So the demand of Karuppatti make duplicate due to greedy people. They use Ordinary jaggery and coat with Karuppatti. So if you smell it will exhibit Karuppatti and also tastes initially Karuppatti and when it fully dissolves we can realise it is Jaggery. We can differentiate the original Karuppatti with ordinary sugarcane jaggery is, we can eat more Karuppatti as it will not feel overdose. But we can't eat jaggery more due to thigattuthal overdose. So in Chennai no body sells original Karuppatti and many don't know how a original Karuppatti tastes like. But some people orders for their own use and some of the leftover from that lot is sold. Generally the shops from Thoothukudi Tirunelveli origins example Saravana stores (not exactly) sells original Karuppatti. We have enquire and buy. In Karuppatti there some varieties such as Udankudi and Vembar Origins. Vembar Karuppatti is light brown and Udankudi is dark brown colour. Original Karuppatti smells unique.
Usually i hold ur videos n c it while i do my exercise in the morning... i don't get boredom n i will forgot the time spending for my workouts... Such a eye opener videos u r making... kuddos
I have explained in the video how to identify. Remove tea from stove and then add karupatti. You can make a solution of karupatti and water, heat, strain and keep in fridge.
Madam, thank u so much..for the infm. 1. My husband has recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Its on a starting level. Can I give him this karupatti. 2. Can sweets like mysorepak, jangri be made with karupatti. If at all u hv any of the recipes, pls do share. 3. Is natru sakkarai different frm karupatti. I would be grateful if u answer my queries
Just one clarification Mam, some say the original karupatti is hard to break but the fake ones are easy to break.. Sorry to highlight this.. But just a clarification..
@@HappyHomeMakerTamil Hi, you had mentioned that we could get from khadi kraft pure palm jaggery. But they don't seem to send overseas. Is there any other you would suggest?
Detailed explanation on karupatti was very good! Also can you upload a video on Panangarkandu and Nattu sarkarai , how to identify fake ones , how to use and it's benefits?
thats very useful motivating video. Don't be sorry that it is long....all useful information. One doubt, will the karupaati harden if it is old...or it stays easily breakable with age also.
Very nice and interesting video, thanks for sharing all the useful information. Off late I started using Pana vellam for my family. This and Jaggery is a must to try now.
Preethi Dineshkumar Hi. Nattu sarkkarai is made from sugarcane juice. Panai vellam is superior in nutrition. Nattu sarkkarai is also good. If we can get used to Karupatti for our sweets it will be very beneficial. I feel nattu sarkkarai is less sweet and I have to add a lot to compensate for the required sweetness. A small piece of Karupatti seems to be enough. I use a combination of all. Karupatti, vellam and nattu sarkkarai.
preetha sankar Hi. Thank you. Yes. You can. Karupatti can be dissolved in little water, strained and added to milk after it is boiled and removed from stove. If it is added when it is on stove it will curdle. ☺
greeetings, good informative it is. kindly say where the brand (shop) in this video was purchased in madras. There are many available when i check costing rupees 260 to 28 0/- per kilo, but not sure of its quality. that is why i asked in which shop it was purchased both the items (karuppatti and kalkandu) as i have to send to a friend where she is in gujarat. thanks, ramesh

greetings again, sorry for bothering. just saw the temple in internet. Please do send the details on which shop you purchased all these items, thanks ramesh
I feel crystals when I taste palm jaggery and when it disolved in water I found small white crystals in disolving process...Is it pure organic jaggery or it isnt?
Could you please translate and help me know how to identify black jaggery if it's fake.. I got black jaggery it's easily breaking and tastes more like bru coffee. Please reply..
I bought karupatti street side in Bangalore for Rs 120 1kg.. it's dark brown but difficult to break into pieces not soft at all, when I dissolve in water I can see small white pieces, someone said it's chalk power and taste has little sand taste.. is it fake or organic???
greetings, mylapore, all the three items? kindly reply. thanks. if hourself in madras, then easy if visiting the doctor and docgor is in puruswalkam and weekly only two days the consultation.
Hi Sis, an informative video, I have a doubt , please clarify.. we got karupatti from a person who makes them by his own, we bought it nearly for 10 kg, after few days I stored that in a stainless steel tin and after a couple of weeks I noticed some watering and fungus like white stuff on the top and later on the same condition aggravated and so I felt that it wasn't original karupatti by the way it was so, I threw away, please give me your opinion, Have a good day:)
Rose mas Hi sis. Karupatti should be stored and handled in dry conditions. Even if there is little moisture if tends to become like what you have experienced. When you buy in bulk it is always better to keep it in fridge and keep outside only what is required for 2 or 3 weeks. Handling with moisture might be the reason.☺. If kept without moisture in a dry container they don't need fridge at all.
Yes Sis you are right, though I stored in a dry container and not handled with any moisture, it became watery.😢 hmm I have the doubt that whether it's real or fake please tell me Sis
