Kassadin could be so much more than just bootleg Darth Vader || Casual Champion Review 

He's not bootleg Darth Vader, he is that one purple villain toy from Toy Story 2. Edit: I searched up his name and it's Emperor Zurg.

Gotta love lore inconsistencies. First with Lewis and how gangs worked in Bilgewater, now Kai’sa can apparently live on the void with no repercussions because her bodysuit is made of dead bug skin, while Kassadin is barely human after hunting down the best anti-void armaments throughout runeterra

as the person who was supposedly the "one" fanart. I dread the day mine is the only one there.

Kinda strange that Kassadin have his skin blue as he does everything to resist The Void, but Malzahar who accepted whole heatedly still with a normal color skin.

I think design-wise the main issue to me is actually looking too close to the void. The void is not actually magically corrupting him, that's all the doing of his many artifacts, especially the nether blade. The only kind of "corruption" void is doing to him is just a mental psychological trauma making him lose his sanity. Where Kai'sa has this 'fighting fire with fire' theme and adapts to the void's enviroment to fight against it, Kassadin is the opposite. He has scrounged random artifacts across all of Runeterra that can help fight the void, he should look like an invader that does not fit that environment at all, like an insult to the Watchers and Malzahar. His design could be better, but I like the idea of it looking a bit goofy considering it's random pieces of gear from all over Runeterra. He's like the type of RPG player who wears ugly random gear just based on what has the best stats.

People are like: Oh. Kassadin is just a bootleg Vader/Zurg/Cthtulhu lookin guy. His lore: Literal DoomSlayer, but for some reason rito made him mad and corrupted. Nah. They should redesign him to fullfill the fantasy of absolute badass fighting of the Void by himself. He should meet Jax.

Imma be honest, wild rift did an amazing job in redesigning Kassadin just enough just so he makes sense in runeterra. Now he has actual armor and no blue skin, his gauntlet is the missing pair that ezreal has, his mask looks more badass and he has ACTUAL LEGS THANK GOODNESS. I freakin love his story man, and i'm sad riot has not done anything with him other than a brief mention in bel veth's story 2 years ago. A father who has done everything in his power to walk thru the void and slaughter every single purple bug he finds ala doom guy just to find his lost daughter. Guy's badass! Just port his WR design to pc and give him ACTUAL voicelines please :'(

Feeling like Riot has some potential with Kass, like some people say around here he could be the Doom Slayer of Runeterra, but until they finish their other projects like Shyvanna, Teemo and probably Trynda or Nocturne they are gonna take a look at our void papa

To me he has a Zealot (StarCraft) phase blade for a weapon. He does need a lore rewrite, but sadly that isn't exactly on Rito's radar

Kassadin's gameplay perfectly fits his lore, he dives into the enemy team like no tomorrow (just like how he dived into void) and then just... wins

In wild rift his gameplay is some changes. Such as Passive works like shen hits stuff get purple shield Q is a skillshot but the silence is increased by 0.5 or smth W-increased auto range E-still stackable but can be used at 1 stack

I think it could be a fun twist if maybe he has so much anti-void artifacts fused to his body that he literally needs to absorb void energy to survive at this point, so if he stops fighting it he just dies.

He's much more of a Doom Slayer with a tinge of Punisher in my eyes. Vader he's only really in visuals and being a dad. I think this is easily the most underrated champion lore in the entire roster. His plot is relatively simple but written so well. I think he surpasses Pantheon in pure testosterone-inducing badassery, it's only that Pantheon has his music theme. If he got a good DOOM-inspired music theme people would love him more. The nether blade is easily the coolest weapon in the entire lore, especially if you go digging deep enough to find rioter's statements about how fucked up it is. He is such a perfect doomed hero character and I hope more people realise eventually how good his lore *already* is. His color story is really damn good and again very underrated.

I'll say this as someone who's maining Kassadin for more than a decade now, his gameplay is much deeper than it looks, sure the abilities seem simple enough but their effects are not similar at all. I'll give you an example of what i mean for each ability, these sitations have come up many times in my games. Q: damage + shield + interrupt. looks sweet but you gotta know when to use it. magic shield and interrupt may prove very useful when the syndra flash-ults you or the warwick catches the ezreal without an E. should you use it immedietly hoping that you wont need it before you get it back, hold it for the ezreal or hold it for yourself? not very easy to decide. W: damage + mana. use it too early and you're losing on potential mana that could have been enough for one more ult when you begin getting kited cause you have no mana. E: the old E was difficult to master but with the changes its even more difficult since percentages are harder to count on the fly. being the only cc (i dont rly count interrupt) he has, saving it is vital. all this stuff matters cause his cd's are actually pretty long on every ability. Q - 8 sconds, W - 7, E - 17. dont even get me started on the massive diffrence in playstyle runes make on this champ. you can actually solo kill opponents as a good kassadin in lane with electro + ignite if you're good enough. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt since you don't play the champ (or like the champ) but i think the oversimplification and blazing speed at which you judged his entire kit was a bit unfair in my opinion and this is not coming from a place of hate. I love this channel and your attention to detail when it comes to design. I don't wanna comment on the visual aspect cause i definetly have a bias there since seeing his splashart was what got me into league of legends in 2012 (yeah i like it). thanks for reading all that and take care boi 🤝

I knew form the moment the notification popped up that this episode was going to be misery for you Nicky. We tend to have very similar taste in everything that involves league and I literally couldn't care less about Kassadin. He looks so lame and goofy, his gameplay is SO boring and stupid. The only reedeming thing about him is his lore, which is so underdeveloped and non existant and has been that way for so many years that he's in the same boat with champs like corki, shaco, and twitch waiting to stop being olimpically ignored and something, even the smallests of efforts be done for them as a part of the League of Legends IP.

i like scaling champs, but i agree with you, kassadin just gets it for free. whenever i go against him it feels hopeless. my laning phase doesn't matter at all, if the game goes on long enough he IS powerful. i get that technically that's true for every champion, but kassadin gets this despite having 0 kills as long as he has been farming decently
