Labour has pledged to crack down on tax avoidance to help fund free breakfast clubs and extra NHS appointments. This comes after their initial spending plans were brought into question following Jeremy Hunt's spring budget which included two of Labour's top revenue raising policies. Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves says that the new tax avoidance clampdown would help raise £5 billion a year.

The nation is already over-taxed. Labour's solution is to collect even more tax, and Reeves continuously fails to understand the difference between tax evasion and tax avoidance (the latter being perfectly fair and legal). The real solution is to slash wasteful government spending, downsize the State, increase the woeful productivity of the public sector and bin the piles upon piles of stultifying regulations which are throttling both the Economy and our lives.

In 2022 there’s were 15 other countries in the OECD ranked MUCH MUCH higher than us with their taxes…. Yes a lot of the money counts be spent better however no one’s getting any younger and as the world is growing and services are under pressure and health and education facilities cracking and defence needs to be kept updated etc etc etc then yes we have to pay!!! Thank goodness you don’t live in France or Norway huh then you could have a good old moan !!

You really think labour mps will vote to get rid of tax avoidance .even though some are millionaires dream on. And its more than 5 to 6 billion being lost through tax avoidance per year
