Katie Dunlop of Love Sweat Fitness Shares Her Weekly Grocery List-And an Easy but Hearty Salad Recipe with her favorite Healthy Choice Power Dressing. Her current healthy eating philosophy? "It's really about filling my body with whole foods and real ingredients, and making sure that I'm carefully noticing how different foods impact my energy levels," she explains. "Then, I make adjustments accordingly." Ahead, three major lessons she's learned, and how to to put them to work for yourself.
Lesson #1: Healthy food can be delicious.
Lesson #2: Go to the grocery store with a plan.
Lesson #3: Build meals around lean protein, healthy carbs and fats, and veggies.
Ingredients:
Big handful of mixed greens
Cherry tomatoes, sliced
Cooked brown rice
Spicy roasted chickpeas, store-bought or homemade
1-2 tablespoons avocado, sliced
Healthy Choice Power Dressings Creamy Ranch
Directions:
Warm up the rice, if desired.
Place mixed greens in a bowl. Layer tomatoes, brown rice, chickpeas, and avocado on top.
Finish with salad dressing.
