My partner and I in Buenos Aires to dance tango, coming back to the apartment at 3am, foot wary and ready for sleep, I played this song and to it we danced tango, and my lady cried, it was so emotionally charged, so we played it again, same result. I was 75 at the time, and yes I still play it and yes we still dance to it. Thank you Katie for your lovely gift, abrazos y bessos
The Cure is one of my favorite band back in the 80's and still love them... I love this song and honestly love this version. Not an easy cover by any means. Well done.
I'm about to cry. I love this song. The cure and this too. Both very beautiful and so emotional. Her voice on the last part was so much stronger live. She sang with such passion and heart.
This song cover makes me want to done myself in a pretty dress and dance in the warm July sunset with clouds like cotton candy and the air sweet like a dream.
She perfectly captured the magic of this fantastic song. Her voice, also soft and mellow, kinda reminds me of Robert's charmy singing, so it came out just right.
I agree. I think she just destroyed the song. I do not like her phrasing AT ALL. It seems that's she's forgotten what she's singing. (I am listening to a lot of covers of this song right now and there are some great ones and some truly terrible ones).
I've been performing this song for years at the original tempo/style but when I heard this version I fell in love with it. Definitely going to change up our acoustic show to do her version---so beautiful!
I'd give anything to spend 10 minutes with her. I just want to know if she is as amazing as she is as when she sings these beautiful songs. My dream girl.
There was a girl I once knew. She loved me but I did not reciprocate her love. I did all the wrong things. After all these years , I say to her, you were fantastic. I made a mistake of a lifetime. I still think of her and wish all the best to her. I should have been better to you. I do no blame you for leaving. For all time, Layla, from Terry.
Tu, suave y sólo, tu, solo y perdido, tu, más extraño que los ángeles; Bailando en los océanos más profundos, torciéndote en el agua ... Eres como un sueño, eres como un sueño.
I heard this song played in a video of a girl showing off her Border Collie's tricks and now this song is forever connected to dog training in my mind. It quickly became one of my favourite songs.
