TheNow454 im asking for a second opinion. I have a 2003 rm85 that's never been rebuilt. Should I rebuild it and get new reeds? It runs good but bogs a little below the power band. Could be a carb issue for I just got the bike and rode it. I didnt really check anything but make sure the mix is right. 32:1
PS: the guy riding the cr85 is trashing the engine. Don't use engine braking on a 2t and change gears more often. The sound that bike makes when you ride it almost made me cry.
a rich pilot jet would probably be a good idea if you plan on engine braking but to be fair he never leaned out the main jet so really he could thrash his bike the whole day without breaking it, ironically if he ran it slowly he would break his bike snce the pilot is what he leaned, not the main
HazX honestly fuck ktm you twelvie fuck face stick to minecraft if you’re gonna throw shit on Yamaha’s or Honda’s I bet a pw50 would thrash your piece of shit ktm which stands for keeps taking money because they break all the time🖕🏼and don’t hate on @sonsywhale
jamison alexander they should let them idle for a good 2-3 minutes until around 100 degrees and then slowly take off, not run the shit out of it right out the gate with no time to idle
You dunno what your doing with the carb so leave it alone before you blow it up set it to the stock settings put the jet that came with the fmf pipe in it and leave it alone. Before you blow it up. It's to lean and running out of gas at wide open learn your ish before you blow it up and d*mn bro warm it first. Idle till warm good thing Daddy has money to fix your f-ups
You make it lean, then frash the fuck out of it then wonder why it's running like that? I used to like watching your videos but lately it's painful and not enjoyable hearing your bikes running lean and you just frashing them when those bikes aren't meant to be at full speed like that. You don't lean an engine out for speed or high revs or power, you make them richer it's basic engine knowledge dude. Lean = more heat = melted engine.
CR85 jetting and maybe pipe needs the carbon burned out. I have a 99 CR125 that bogged just like that with the FMF SST pipe and I burned the carbon and jetted the bike to what FMF said with the needle clip 2nd position from top. Fixed everything. Spark plug is light brown and bike is very powerful. Just search FMF Jetting Center and it will show up then give it the bikes information. It's very helpful.
if they actually knew how to keep their bikes up in the power band. that 85 should have actually stayed right on his ass given granted it needs Reed's but still letting off the throttle to much and using the clutch
2vintage did I not say that given granted they were bad? I could tell they were bad when you took off on it, I was talking about staying up in the power band the whole time dropping throttle like that and clutching brings a 2 stroke back down in power band so when you grab the next gear it's gotta work back up to the top.
the Cr 85 is running like that because it does not have the correct spark plug! It either needs a hotter one or colder one. The exact problem was on my bike. Cuz as soon as it wants to hit the power band it want more spark and your spark plug can't create enough.
The bikes not doing something weird you just don’t know how to ride the whole race I was screaming shift shift 😂 he gone learn when he send the rod through the block
Race the yz250 and cr250, the bogging could be the jetting, mixture, spark plug, or reeds my Blaster did the same exact thing and it was the reeds it was hard to start at times and just bogged out when it hit the powerband I changed the reeds and it runs great now
