That bright lime green contrasting the dark blue seat with Kawasaki across the seat looks so damn smooth. That kx80 is the fastest 80cc 2 stroke dirt bike. I remember way back in 89 when I went on a dirt bike/camping trip with my best friend up in Michigan. I was on a 1980 Yamaha IT 175 struggling to go up a steep sand dune and this kid on a little KX80 probably almost brand new back then, like the same year as yours, came flying up behind me and passed me like it was nothing, having no trouble at all in the sand. 😆

@@christopherwalker6056 Ha, yeah those are great times! Those little KX80’s are really quick! My first MX bike was a 1979 KX080A, bought it used for $365. It was fast, never broke down on me either. Then I got a used 1982 Suzuki RM80Z…I had FUN on that bike! It was a whole different level of power & suspension. It was really quick; I ported my own cylinder on it…following the instructions in (I think) Moto Cross magazine😄it worked! After that was a 1985 YZ125 (modified), and it just kept going😎now I’m almost 53yrs old & STILL ride regularly! Love it just as much as when I was starting as a kid😁

I ride a '96 kdx200 and it will go faster than 64. It is running rich not lean, a lean 2 stroke makes more power but runs dangerously hot. Thats why it wouldnt start in the beginning. If you fix one up and rag on the other, of course the fixed up one will run better. I prefer kawasaki over honda anyday myself, in fact i pretty much dispise hondas. Treat a kawasaki good and keep it maintained and it will last. My 96 has a year old cylinder and pison and i took the head off a month or so back and the cylinder and piston both looked flawless and didnt have a single scratch on them except for a bit of caked on carbon. Im pretty sure the video is on my channel, im tellin ya though...put some time and love into the kawasaki and it will be the best bike you own. Hondas are too over rated, my buddy says hondas are better yet hes went through three quads in the course of a year while i've had the same bike for over a year and she still runs strong. Cant tell me 3 hondas to 1 kawasaki isnt coincidence or luck. Kawasakis may be heavier and geared a bit slower but adjust the gearing and it will be a very reliable fast bike, they are built to last.

@@jaydensdream714 yeah but the problem I have with cr250's is that they develop so many malfunctions when you don't regularly maintain them. This obviously applies to all bikes but for some reason the cr250 line develops a lot of problems, my cousin has one and lemme tell you that bike was a mint bike at one point. And with only about 8 months of not cleaning it, it needed a top end rebuid, new jets, new spark plug, new air filter, and the frame rusted up and needed to be detailed. The bike completley just became clapped. Its not even because of weathering, the bike just developed so many problems that he couldn't keep up with them so he sold it for 850$. Cr250's really need to be mint bikes in order to have it running well, because if you have one issue with it, its just gonna keep on developing more. And I've let my kx sit, and only thing that needed to be changed was the plastics, everything else was good on it.

@@jaydensdream714 Yes I have the same bike, that bike is definitely jeted with too big of jets if he where to drop down in jet size and start tuning from there it would run a lot better, hes also got a torquey sprocket set up on there, more torque = less top speed
