Hi folks - I did say that I would get back with how the Z1 900 turned out, in this video I take the bike out with the GoPro so as to give you folks an Idea of the test run, and for the ride . Had a little issue along the way but nothing serious, I tought I would leav the footage in so as to show what can happen in real life - hope you all find it interesting as as I did making it .

My K3 CB 750 blew it's regulator around midnight in 1978 and I had to hot wire it but your dilemma brought that back to me as well. Oh the great times!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha...... Simply 5 stars!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the ride. That was a sooth as silk. I've got 38,000 miles on my 74 Z1 and never blew that fuse, in fact I'm not sure I even have one, but if I do, I'll need to carry spare!!

Yes, I would recomend carring a couple of spare 20amp fuses, I think my regulator may be suspect. Cheers

You are Welcome, having a bit of a break at present, but last phase coming soon stripdown and rebuild of the Z1 engine that came out of the bike. Cheers Gary

I close my eyes and I can hear my own 75’ Z1b. Well sort of, mine is louder. But over all I think could recognize a Z1 with my eyes closed.

Bike sounds great Gary, I wanted to see the same kind of road test video of your Z1100 shaft. Do you still have the Z 1100 ? I used to have one and intend to acquire one again before I’m too old lol. Hope you get the 900 fine tuned to your approval. She is looking fantastic and you deserve credit for making such a nice job. Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.

Hi Next time I take the Z1100 out will take the GoPro, I did not have the GoPro when I rebuilt the Z1100 engine. What this space. Cheers Gary

That footage put me back in 1975 and what do we notice? How much torque there is at the lower rev range. It looked, sounded and was absolutely fabulous! Outstanding project sir! Now please do not sell it. Cheers from Australia.@@garyspracticalworkshop357

Don’t understand your breakdown? All you did was replace the inline fuse system with an identical one ? What was wrong with the one that was in it that seemed new?

Not sure what made the fuse blow, it has done this before, I will investigate. Cheers
