Keepsake, from Tampa, FL, were crowned the 1992 Int'l Quartet Champions at the contest in New Orleans, LA. The first song is from the quarterfinal round,a nd the second song is from the finals.
My Dad and Mom hosted these guys at my house many times when they performed for the Canton, Mass chapter. Imaging seeing this show in your living room after a great night of dinner and desert. No better Afterglow was had. So fortunate that my Dad and Mom blessed us with listening to four part harmony.
sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my password. I love any help you can give me
Thank the sweet lord, I've been waiting for these songs to come back to Y*utube for 4 years, thank you TalkinShop. These guys have such a tight sound, and none of them are weak links. Don Barnick, man on Bass, has won 2 championships with 2 quartets and is the only man in history to have Gold for 2 separate parts that aren't next to each other, Bass and Tenor. Magnificent!
There have actually been multiple Bass/tenor dual winners in barbershop history, dont remember their names though, for the info watch David Wrights History of Barbershop
Thank you so much TalkinShop for bringin this video back to youtube. Now next to keepsake you are also my hero. Please leave it up forever as a keepsake!
At least on one song they did. Bright Was the Night was the highest scoring song in history in the old judging system which happened to go away after 92.
dangeorges just wanted to say as a lead myself who sticks out a bit its a good thing because as a lead you need to stick out as usually having the melody if anyone sticks out a lot thats tony but i love tony so it doesnt bother me.
