Kelly sleeps on herself because a soulful extremely gifted singer like her was making all that bubble gum pop junk that was beneath her voice! She was making albums suited for someone less capable and that robbed people of putting her in the conversation of greatest female vocalist! She should have been doing songs that pushed her into the beyond like Celine Deion and Whitney Houston did!

Truth. Not to mention seriously missing the mark by calling her a "shitty writer that should be grateful for the gifts I bestow upon you" after she played him Because of You. OMFG!!! She sang the hell out of that song!! This Girl can SAAAANGGG!!!!! Her voice is outta this world!!! Kelly's voice is so powerful, soulful and of course Versatile,she can sing anything,any genre and do justice,she has the vocal quality that can fit perfectly and naturally into any genre!!! Her vocal technique, range, tone, runs and control is impressive!!Even though she's still a very underrated vocalist even after 17 years, for me,she's the best vocalist of this generation and among the greatest of all time!!
Finally Kelly getting included in the Aretha Tributes, instead of Ariana or Xtina. Kelly actually knows how to tap into her soul without oversinging and messy runs
@@brandonpowell2060 Christina literally can't support beyond a C5. She doesn't deserve to be included with even Ariana Grande. Ariana can't enunciate but at least she has only minor issues with her voice. Kelly is better than both of them.

I loved her the first time I heard sing on American Idol. I thought for so many years people were not giving her enough credit, it made me so mad. It has taken a long time but finally people are giving her some credit. I could listen to her sing all day long.

I would have thought that she was really good from American idol to the 2nd album, and then her live performances took a bit of a dive and she was hoarse.. I have to wonder how much of an influence her change in size played.
@@kylejackson3334 my bad lol my last comment was about Celine .. I don't remember the last Kelly Clarkson performance I saw before this one, but it was never solid and more hoarse. That's no shade to her though, for me, She's had good performances. She's put on and lost a whole heap of weight which could contribute. It's not good to have a whole heap of fat compressing your lungs, Aretha herself said her weight affected her voice.
