I usually don't see artists performing without earpieces, this is actually the first time I notice someone doing it. Either way, this is such a good performance and daaamn that sax... In my opinion, Kendrick is one of the best today.
Tbh a load of artists aren't comfortable with "in-ears". If you've never sang and heard yourself only through your headphones/in-ears it's really weird as hell for quite a while.

Yes! I totally agree. I heard it here first and looked up the original and yeah man, this is better. Kudos to that band, but kudos to Kendrick too, his flow was superb. Love it.
the guy on the saxophone is terrace martin. this version of the song was produced by him. his album 3chordfold pulse features a live version of it but there are studio versions available
Best part is you can tell he's really feeling his music just by his voice and face and I love that! He's by far, one of the best out right now. The whole Good Kid Maad City album is phenomenal!
I think I've watched this about 15 times....! All the instruments sounded so great and Kendrick is a talent. Didn't slip on any of the rhymes and the band was in sync. So many different people had to come together to make that sound the way it did and they rocked it
Kendrick is the only rapper that my dad and any other late 80's and early 90's grownups can relate to because, he so fresh, and has that back in da day soul. RESPECT!

Almost ten years later, he has finished his biggest tour to date, The Big Steppers Tour. 16 Countries 3 Continents 76 Shows All in six months. I had the privilege of attending Kendrick’s night two in Sydney, it was beautiful it was full of emotions. Hearing the songs that got me through lots of tough times, is reminiscent and emotional.
Man this Performance showed me he uses rap as a instrument. The way he jams and has no earpiece in. It feels like a soul singer who just used flowing words instead of vocal runs.
