@@redgit9905 You're joking but a lot of people are terrible listeners and even worse interviewers because of it. People in this set up often come with prepared questions and only focus on getting those questions out without actually engaging in the conversation so that they can use the responses to ask other questions that might not have been planned. They don't try to create a connection between them and the guest to find common footing and bond throughout the conversation. They don't value what the other person has to say enough to get invested in the conversation. So no, not like a "normal person". Like someone who has good interpersonal communication skills.
Kdot just protected their legacy this past days, westcoast and gangsta rap is alive rn, people r talking shit is controversial their beef is reviving that nwa era feeling for sure. History in the making man
As an LA native. Born and raised since 2002. As a young 21 year old I’m so obsessed with the fact that N.W.A really came out from where I’m from. I live in harbor city, 10 mins away from Compton and knowing that all this music really hits home. It really was the lifestyle and part of it is still there. At least the struggles are. Anyways I’m grinding to be somebody one day and I’ll definitely tribute my success to men. TRULY INSPIRING. From nothing, to something, to everything. R.I.P EAZY MOTHA FUCKIN E💯💯
@@Stress7820 I'm 24 man, and KDot was the first rap music I heard. I was trying to sleep, and Drank played on the radio. Since then, I've engrossed myself in hip hop and rap. I grew up on classic rock, but to this day, I know how crucial rap music is to not only the music industry, but modern music in general. Kenny is my favorite artist by far, but I love this whole genre more than any other. And Drake disgraces it. He's fake, ineffectual, and bland. Edit: and he's straight up insulting. I'm white and have no place to have an opinion on a lot of these things, but that is obvious to me. Drake is fake as hell, and should be purged tbh.
Tropikkkana you don't make any sense. If you think like this i could also say that i'm the star in my house. since my house is on the world i'm a world star? Not every west coast star was a world star. there is more than just California on the world. Kurupt is a west coast star, but nobody knows him here in germany, he's no world star, dumbass.
Kendrick got the crown from the West Coast great and ran with it. They gave that thing to him early and he has done nothing but prove them right. A true student of the game absorbing the culture around him and turning it into art
definitely the most talented member of the group. kind of a shame that everyone looks at him as this cute dad figure because of all the movies he's been in. this man was an absolute savage in his heyday
HK LOCK you don’t need street cred or gang affiliation to be “tough”, ice cube not the most gangster guy but he was still hood and can hold his own, respect to cube, OG of rap.
@@TheBaBaTV to be tough you must have people to vouche that, people say that ice cube, can stand his ground, but he ain't no tough guy, being tough is another thing, and no, you don't need being in a gang for being tough
@@robtheservantof6257Great response. I wish you luck and if you ever need to speak with someone’s who’s “made it” in their own walk in life (and the journey is never over for those who love their life, as I’m still “making it” every single day), hit me up.
What I like about Kendrick is he never once made it about him. He doesn't plug his own music. He respected all 5 of the legends and grew up listening to NWA. He legitimately loves those guys. Mad Respect.
Julian M Someone told me you are fascinated by people who have legends amongst legends. Which in turn makes you put legends upon their legends. I want to add some more legends to your legends.
The age reflects that. It'd be embarrassing to not be able to express your thoughts clearly and educated. Rather than being ignorant and hood af. Hopefully the younger generation can see that and try to mimic it.
@@957chas well kendrick is young and is from "the hood" and is probably one of the only articulate rappers out here currently. Being from the hood has nothing to do with being articulate. And watching old interviews of n.w.a, I've realized that they always spoke the way they do now
Please stop listening to Rap/Hip-Hop right away. You obviously have no Clue about it. Kendrick is a legend since How to Pimp a butterfly. With DAMN he made made DAMN (get it?) sure to solidify himself as one of the GOAT´s.
***** We are talking about a TALK show not artistic merit. You can not have a good talk with some guy slouching over mumbling ebonics trying conveying questions in a vague in-concise manner. Most of the talk show would be him just sitting there slowly mumbling words trying to figure out what he is trying to say with hand gestures to add to the confusion.
My grandma was a very unlikely hip hop fan - she loved Nwa. So it was heart-breaking when she got Alzheimers and we had to watch whilst she slowly Forgot About Dre.
They dissed cube first and an old saying was "true friends get mad at eachother once and a while and a friendship should have all the emotions like a family"
That record was to strait 'em up. It wasnt just to out right diss. It was a wake call. Hell that whole album was an ass whooping wake call to ecerybody. I love Ice Cube's death certificate.
Imagine how safe these guys felt just chilled together. You can literally feel how relaxed and decompressed they are in each other's company. They family.
None of them have fancy jewelry, face tats, not mumbling, they all speak very clearly and know so much. True rappers doing it for the love of hip hop. Edit: this comment was posted 2 years ago. If you feel the need to argue with my above statement go ahead, but I won’t be replying. I’m moving on with my life lmao
Andrew Mcarthur he is, if you look at some of his old skool photos you’ll see when he was younger he smiled but if you can find the right photos you’ll see he smiled and then he didn’t, and that’s when he became what we know and that’s a very pissed off ice cube
@@blacsno743 ok here are a few blasts from wayyyy back ..... 1) Cypress Hill 2) Cool Herc&The Wheels Of Steel 3) Grandmaster Flash&The Furious Five 4) Public Enemy And For The Female Side Of Things: Q. Have a great day!!!!
Chunky Junky one thing has me thinking is that Dre killed easy e because of the profit easy e was taking from him and 4 years ago dre was suspected on wanting suge knight dead because he sold beats to apple and suge was going to take some profit from that too. Even jerry heller said follow the money because he didn’t gain nothing when easy died but dre did. Since easy fired Jerry’s ass he had a chance to kill easy and put the blame on jerry. Even in the movie he put easy as broke and beat up when both were lie, no will touch easy at that time or else their would be dead body’s around
Wow NWA had it right from the beginning about Ice Cube. He's been a Benedict Arnold (traitor). It's simple. If Ice Cube is not against Trump, then by default he is standing with him since Trump is a blatant racist. Ice Cube may as well stated that he's been working with the KKK and Proud 'White' Boys to help get Trump re-elected because Trump said if he's re-elected and can continue serving as the symbol and de-facto leader of the KKK then he will help Black people too. Although during his entire 4 yrs in office, Trump did not make any economic pledges to Black people until the last few weeks before the end of the election. Ice Cube is a sellout.
@@each1teach18 you could be not standing with Trump but also not against him at the same time, you don't have a legal obligation to vote and the poltics are between 2 parties so there's a chance of disagreeing with both
respect to nwa. no wonder ice cube and dre becomes so successful. They work hard, passionate and always keep it real. Not only in music, i think in every profession gotta be like dat.
This is probably one of Kendrick’s favorite moments in his career. He’s talking to the people he probably looked up to and who inspired his music. And saying They fuck with his music is just the icing on the cake.

SwissGames ok, my state to was just kind of a joke, but there is an interview of Suge saying that you can kill people by shooting them with AIDS, then he "sorta like the Eazy-E thing" and Suge had some good reason, because Eazy-E wouldn't sing onto Death Row Records, just watch interviews on DjVlad
@@ryadmane”still not really sure how far it was gonna TAKE ME” “made a vow that I wouldn’t let the game CHANGE ME” In case you’re going to claim this doesn’t rhyme, please educate yourself on assonance and on internal rhyme, and how often these techniques are used in hip hop. So yes in a rapping sense he was accidentally rhyming mid conversation.
Can't imagine the feeling you get as an artist, hearing your heroes say to you that thwy not only listen to your music, but say your one of the best out right now? You can see how much that meant to kendrick
Damn, look at the difference in their faces from the beginning to the end... looking all serious in the beginning to smiling and laughing the longer this interview went on. Great!
Kendrick Lamar is the Tupac of the new age. Sure, he makes those cliche rap music, but there's always the songs that strike us deep, with that real shit.
I mean I guess if your just talking main stream but who really cares about that? There are a lot of guys in the underground hip hop scene right now that are on Kendricks level
when Dr Dre said making a hit is the greatest feeling, then kendrick said being in the studio, and then Cube said being on stage. they all have their favorite part of making hip hop records
DOT is totally invested in this interview. Hes hinging on every word. You can tell he's a student of the game. Which is why he'll continue to get better
I love how he pays respect to his predecessors the ones who paved the way for him not a lot of modern hip hop artists do that that's why I love Kendrick and he has great music as well
