Thank you for this Gem. I was in a bookstore, as I often am, in 1992 and I was there to find poetry. While wandering among the cats and books, I come upon this black and white paperback; "Kenneth Rexroth Selected Poems" and I picked it off the shelf, opened it... to page 115, "The Dragon and The Unicorn" - 1952. I bought it in the same instant. I was born in 1952. Years later I would be training up a long and dusty hill in the Santa Monica Mountains above the beach far below and away from my footsteps. I did not know it at the time, but I had just gone by Kenneth Rexroth's home, off the beaten path. I love the Universe for things in my life, just like this one circumferential moment. Keep greasing the wheels, they spin the universe.

What became of Orrick Johns. A book I'm writing to try and understand that. I always knew that my grandfather was Orrick Johns, I just didn't know he was Orrick Johns. And so it goes.
