Officers and others involved also have to be held responsible for excessive force on the protesters and damage to their property. The government overreachef when it came to freezing accounts, impoundment of their trucks and/or vehicles etc.... lots of Canadians have lost all trust in our politicians. All workers who have lost their jobs due to vaccine mandate should get their jobs back and the government should pay them for loss of wages and stress.

Susan he is one of the worst premiers in recent history. Jason Kenney would set back Albertans civil liberties 50 years if he could without repercussions. I had some hope for him but he is clearly not qualified for his position. I don’t know how he could complain to the Federal government he needed help and then complain when they gave it to him. The Emergency act is basically the only way they could help Alberta and Ontario with the protests blocking the economy from functioning and it did its job and now it’s over. I remember a time when a speaker didn't belong to any political party and didn't have to worry about behaving in a way that would make her party look bad or be deemed to favor her own party too much. This issue itself also carries a lot of controversy and I can understand the emotions behind it. Another major problem is everyone involved can't form opinion based on the SAME facts. Because the media in this country can't stay neutral on the news they report, they had to add in partisan rhetoric, they had to frame the title of each news story as eyeball grabbing as possible so people can click on it and they earn advertising dollars from the traffic. Because we can't rely on a single news media in this country to stay neutral, I urge everyone to read from as many news source as possible: CBC, Rebel News, The Toronto Star, The Western Standard. No matter how uncomfortable it is. It's not about whether they are telling the truth, but what people are WILLING to believe in. It's about understanding other opinions exist and are valid. Only when we understand where everyone stands can we come forward to negotiate and compromise. Because the alternative to negotiating is conflict, where one-side have to totally dominate the other, and that is dictatorship. But... you know... there is no point saying any of this, non of the leaders in our various level of government are willing to listen to the other side, they see crisis as a way for political gain, they have elections to win. If leaders of our government cannot demonstrate a willingness to listen to the other side, how can you expect average, everyday folks to do it?

Citizens from all over Canada joined the protests, from coast to coast, and travelled to Ottawa, because they are that frustrated with this government’s arrogance, overreach and failures. I did not want to get the vaccine because of my Faith, there were no religious exemptions, that’s wrong in a Free Country. Anyone in the world can see that, probably even the people arguing in favor of its use. It shows how correct information can be used in manipulative ways to attack or discredit people. If information is allowed to be used this way at the top, I would suggest we need some changes (but I wouldn't know how to begin addressing the issue). These kinds of attacks do not serve the Canadian people. They only further the divide in a time where people are already extensively polarized due to once-in-a-lifetime events. This kind of leadership is having a very terrible impact on the social wellbeing of society. I hope at some point everyone remembers that they are leaders, not just soldiers on a political playing field.
