I dont know if Kenwood integrated wireless software updates, but it was always not easy to update firmware on previous models. Garmin maps needs to be updated periodically & without over the air updates, it is pain in a butt.
@@desi4lyfe379 no they have not implemented over the air updates, it still requires a file upload into the head unit, this goes for head unit firmware updates, along with GPS map updates if the head unit has built in GPS nav
Hi i have question if I want to build audio system With 2 amp (one of them is mono for sub and another for all 4 ch) Now I don't what to take the Kenwood 7709 or the pioneer dmh 4450 For EQ and more versatility And if is metter I have android so Thank you sir for all
@@RS-mj7rq this is a great idea actually, and something we will start doing on all future head unit videos. I will see what I can do to start doing previously reviewed head units as well. It might get costly though, we buy every head unit we review (unless otherwise stated that the product was provided to us).
Neither of these receivers have an SD slot, but the Kenwood DNX577S and the Kenwood Excelon DNX697S do have SD slots (for map updates mainly, but can be used for music source as well). lockdownsecuritycanada.ca/collections/car-stereo-receivers?_=pf&pf_pt_product_choice=GPS%20Navigation%20Receiver&pf_v_brand=Kenwood&pf_v_brand=Kenwood%20Excelon&pf_t_screen_size=Screen%20Size_6.8%22

@@ForeignRuntzzz Our prices match or beat Best Buy on Kenwood, plus, Kenwood Excelon is not sold at Best Buy. Also, I haven't seen much Best Buy RU-vid, they haven't posted many videos lately, but we have....
How is the 709s getting a signal when it says "No text" so ya not getting a signal on either of them, if u were there would be the information given from the radio station vs No text!~ The "Waiting" is the 7709s OS vs the 709s OS which has the HD-Radio vs the RDS. I used to repair car stereo's an amps an install them, so I am not a newbie!~ if ya been using a normal aftermarket HU without the HD-Radio ur not missing anything, sure a bunch more stations, so what more talk an commercials to get to deal with as well!~
These units should not get very hot at all, the only thing that generates much heat is the amplifier, but these are much higher efficiency now and do not create much heat.
