@@Radionut63 Until now I haven't repaired it, because I don't understand electronics, and I'm having a hard time that incidents like this don't happen often, they only happen once... and now it's been more than 6 months, it's normal, the case doesn't appear again, hopefully it stays normal forever...

Great video for people learning hands on troubleshooting. I'm working on a Kenwood TS-120 with dots that I think is not getting VFO signal to the PLL. Your verifying your test equipment is critical. Learned that by experience. Keep it up. KA9DAD
Getting 0 volts on pin 7 on the IC17 is the problem...I have a 4 of the others...I can get it to lock by adjusting, on the RF board the 4 transformers in the metal box to the right looking from the front.
if you have removed all that old glue, and still have problems, try what i did and re-flow every solder joint on that board! Those boards are also known for cold solder joints thru out! Good luck!

@@Radionut63 salve sono in possesso di un ts 440 che in usb mi risulta fuori frequenza nel senso se sono con altri corispondenti sulla 27165 mi ascolto e trasmetto fuori . quale vr posso controllare per alliniarlo grazie saluti mario
