** MAKE SURE TO PREPARE THIS SWEET ON MEDIUM LOW FLAME **
Semolina / Rava (fine) - 1 cup
Oil - ½ cup
Clarified butter / ghee - ½ cup
Cashews - about 15
Cloves - 4 to 5
Raisins - about 8 to 10
Pineapple (roughly chopped) - 1 cup
Water - 2 ½ cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Milk - 1 tbsp
Kesar - 1 tsp
Cardamom powder - 5 to 6
Method:
1. Keep 2 ½ cups of water to boil.
2. Keep a pan on medium low flame.
3. Add ½ cup each of oil and clarified butter/ ghee to the pan.
4. Add about 15 cashews.
5. Fry till golden brown.
6. Add 4 to 5 cloves.
7. Add 1 cup of semolina/ Rava to this.
8. Stir continuously for about 10 minutes.
9. Add about 8 to 10 raisins to this.
10. After 10 minutes of frying, add 1 cup of roughly chopped pineapple.
11. Now add 2 ½ cups of previously boiled water.
12. Add 1 cup of sugar to this.
13. Now in another small bowl, mix 1 tbsp of milk with 1 tsp of kesar.
14. Keep this ready.
15. Now add this mixture to the Rava.
16. To this add 5 to 6 cardamom powder.
17. Mix everything well.
18. To check if the kesaribath is ready, the ladle should emerge clean when inserted into it.
19. Serve hot kesaribath and enjoy.
