I could not agree with you more. As a Canadian with Italian origins living in Calabria keeping keto is so difficult here simply because of the lack of understanding of the diet. I’m not a fan of carnivore keto and do feel best when partaking in in clean keto I enjoy my veggies and what not but sheesh when I say here I’m sorry I’m off carbs right now my insulin is spiked and they say “come on just a little pasta won’t hurt you” I often cannot cope so thank you so much for this information was great. Finding keto product here is really difficult and expensive however I finally found my “go to” place for all my keto needs :)
Happy Thanksgivings from Phoenix . Nice looking cheeses , mozzarella , sharp cheddar , blue , Limburger are my favorites . Maybe be four times a month I have cheese but it's a good gainer or looking to put muscle on .
What do you think of having whey, and whey protein supplements on the keto diet? I know they are a great source of protein but will it still it cause the same problems that dairy causes?
If you react badly to dairy, you'll likely react to whey protein as well (bloating/gas for us). If you want a protein powder, try out beef protein. We had a chocolate flavored one a couple of times - it tasted way better than it sounds and gave us zero digestive issues. If you're only talking about potential weight gain, I don't think whey protein (especially around workouts) should be a problem.
