Lisa S .... that was me. The carnivore diet is the true elimination diet. I noticed results in achy joints and muscles disappeared by day 2 on this diet. And now I'm six weeks and started adding seasonal veggies and fruits back. Like berries.. and cucumbers, greenbeans. I've never felt better in over 15 yrs. Good luck, and you can do this. 😊
Oh Yeah Yeah I actually did it for one week and I loved it! I wasn’t tired of eating the same thing every day either. I dropped a ton of water and I was happy because I was definitely retaining water for awhile. I’ve included liver in my beef patties. I’m going to make some bone broth with my lamb. I’ve noticed that I did over spice my foods and by using only salt I see I never really needed them in the first place. I would like to try the all potatoes diet for a week to see if it actually helps my taste buds reset and if it heals anything. I’ve read that it is supposed to heal gut issues but I don’t think I have any issues...but perhaps it’ll do something extra for me 🤷♀️ I’m willing to try different things to see what works for my body 🙏
I just started the carnivore diet. My arteritis pain has been reduced, my bloating is gone and my bathroom trips are excellent. I can’t drink black coffee without sugar so I go without and that is the hardest part as caffeine addiction is REAL.
Hi! I remember watching a past 'What to eat on a Keto Diet' video you did and it was my all time favorite...when I was also on Keto. I am now 6 months into Carnivore and was searching to see about adding other foods back in...although carnivore alone feels fabulous. Loved seeing your few allowances as this is the minimal type of eating I also enjoy. I am hoping to see your partner on the screen soon and learn about any weight loss/maintenance she has experienced on carnivore. And I will look forward to seeing how you prepare foods in your air fryer etc.
I like to make egg salad using mashed avocado seasoned with Pink Himalayan salt or fermented red cabbage juice (JillyJuice recipe) which I make at home 😋. Some people don't consider avocado as a legitimate part of "full carnivore", I see it as a healthy fat or alternative to butter.
I love fish sauce but it is hard to find one that doesn't have a whole bunch of MSG in it. I use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. There is a little dairy here in Southern California called Desert Farms that sells camel milk products. Recently they started selling, I kid you not, "Hump Fat" from camels which is a wonderful alternative to tallow. The marketing pitch is that the camel stores all of its nutrition in the hump so this fat is very high in a lot of nutrients, especially B12. No, I don't work for them, just a happy customer.
i've tried doing carnivore diet for a couple of weeks and been experiencing constipation so i switched to keto. but after seeing your video and you said that your digestion improved and become stronger in the gym! i want to give it a shot again. hope you will give tips on how to improve digestion while on carnivore diet. thanks
I am leaning more towards carnivore , but have been ketovore for a few months. I work nights so would love to hear from some other carnivore night shift workers! I eat meat sticks, vienna sausages, boiled eggs. (Every once in awhile I’ll have a few pecans or blueberries) I feel like I have to have my coffee with plain cream, tho.
It’s so nice to see more and more people going carnivore! Liked the video a lot, I can also recommend you Frank Tufano’s channel, he is very educated in carnivore diet
I also boil the meat and it’s almost like soup and meat, I love it and it’s soo soothing on the gut. I add salt and pepper and that’s it. I consider it my fasting day, as I would drink bone broth throughout the day and later will have boiled meat.
Prima! I really enjoyed your video. I have been fasting for a year, IF and EF. Healed many issues, but inflammation lingers. This month I am doing strict elimination carnivore. After 1 week now, had terrible die off. But improving today. I am living in Africa, so have a variety of game which is cheap. The best lamb from the Karoo, the best beef from the Eastern Cape, tongue, which is my favourite. Many types of livers, too. I won't have enough meals to eat the variety available, as I am on ADF protocol(alternate day fasting ). I will be having mussels, prawns, calamari and local fish too, as well as duck, chicken and turkey. Let's not forget pork? I may need to go 2 months? 😂
Nice Video and very informative! I noticed you have many things from LIDL i buy Chicken Hearts from Lidl they are tasty and pure Protein and very cheap. Try them! Greetings from Germany.
I've been carnivore since February 1st. I really enjoy oysters and I try to eat one tin a day. If you dont eat enough fish, it can be hard to get Omega 3s, so the oysters are a cheap and convenient staple
I’ve just completed my 2nd day of carnivore diet. I’d really appreciate recipes, but probably not too much can do with only meat & salt & water. I’d really like to have an air fryer!
Wildman Samurai ...What foods do you include that are Keto? I'm looking at adding some back in to my diet but am not sure how far to go! I know everyone is different, but hearing your experience might be helpful! Thank you!
Hey, thanks for the video! One very relevant question i got for you guys)) I also live in Vienna, and since now it is Christmas season with so many cool christmas markets opened, what are your keto recos during this time? I have been doing LCHF for a little over a year, but now decided to make a short break to enjoy this season, so i occasionally treat myself with some carbs, but excluding alcohol. Of course I immediately noticed lack of energy, lower quality of sleep and overall different wellbeing. Looking forward to your expert advice)
That is awesome, we're happy to have you in the city! I know you're excluding alcohol (we do too), but something we did sometimes the last few years is make some lower-carb Glühwein at home, using red wine, some sweetener (erythritol) and some Christmas spices. When friends wanted to meet up at the Christmas market to drink some, we brought our own hot low carb version in a thermos which tasted way better. When it comes to treating yourself, always ask yourself if it's worth it. If it is, go for it! But maybe you even find that you could treat yourself with some other local specialties at markets, like special cuts of meat, veggies like sauerkraut or sausages for example, which likely won't make you feel bad afterwards. Or get a burrito bowl at Max & Benito (so good! Get the barbacoa beef, no rice & beans, just the salad & veggies, guacamole, ask for extra cheese and tons of sour cream). I would say find ways to treat yourself that make you feel good and that feel rewarding.
@@mostlyKeto Max and Benito is my absolute favorite! I cant wait until they finally open on Wien Mitte )) which red wine did you use by the way? anything specific that you would recommend?
Nice, you have great taste for sure! To be honest we have red wine so rarely that we don't know much about it. We just end up buying some cheap dry red wine at Hofer :)
I've started with the Carnivire diet exactly a week ago and man oh man.. the results so far and the overall feeling are amazing. For the cheese part I actually didn't know that some types of cheeses are better than others so now I'll switch up so that should not be an issue. My main problem now is with yogurt, I do the OMAD diet and I enjoy a yogurt or 2 after a meaty fatty dish, sort of like my little treat or dessert. I choose types that are low in sugar. Do you think that adding the yogurt is harmful? Some context: I'm very big on sweets and pastry etc..so I thought it would be good for me to leave some room for little sweetness.. not to go insane basically lol
This may sound yuckie, but will this diet cause bathroom problems? And if so, how can it be treated without going off this diet? On the Keto diet psyllium can be used. Also can you put some cream in coffee or in a recipe? And if so, how many tbsp per day? Thanks
I thought herbs onion and garlic were off the list because they are a plant product. Is this really a carnivore diet or a substitute to the carnivore diet. WIne is made from grape juice and olive oil is supposed to be off the list too. Okay I think when I start the diet I will try your method as this seems like it might be an easier transition for me to go pure carnivore. then a few months later transition to pure carnivore. Meat himalayan salt and water.
I just bought a Keto for Instant Pot cookbook. Since we can’t use a lot of spices, cooking meat in the pressure cooker should be really simple. Because I’m still ketovore, I will use sugar free BBQ sauce on pressured pork or chicken sometimes.
You are nice people. What do you say about having sauerkraut and Kombucha and raw milk here and there whilst doing keto-carnivore? What about stevia and monk fruit?
Thank you! Completely depends on your goals. If you enjoy those foods and feel good when eating them, I don't see a problem! I would still limit your consumption of raw milk and kombucha, as they have some sugar. And stevia/monk fruit are great sweeteners, just make sure you know that they can cause further cravings for something sweet down the road :)
Minimalist Keto thanks. My goal is to speed up fat loss and increase mental energy and clarity. I’ve been experimenting with keto for a while but I started carnivore 3 weeks ago which helped me break a long stall. Do you need to count macros on carnivore or cut back on fat or keep protein intake in check ?
That's awesome to hear, congrats! For my wife Zsófia, since doing Carnivore it's the first time where she doesn't feel the need to count calories or macros to be in the best shape she's ever been. But that's without milk products/cheese (except butter), as we both gain a little weight when eating more of those. We don't count fat or protein, we just eat to satiety. The only difference between the two of us is that I'm adding more/extra fat to my meals to get more calories as I'm trying to put on muscle/weight right now.
I’ve been on a carnivore diet for six months and have lost 13 kg. There is one kink in my diet, it’s coffee with non-sweetened, half and half creamer. I just can’t kick it. Any suggestions?
Hi Carnivore here The rule is - eat until you're full (not bursting but not still hungry) - then don't eat until you're hungry again - don't skip adding/eating fats to all meats So "how much" will be up to your individual situation.......over a short time......youll know Great job
Great content! How do you calculate macros on carnivore? (Protein and fat). Same as keto to avoid gluconeogenesis or can you have significantly more protein? Thanks!
Servus.
@@mostlyKeto as you said, interpret however you like, I personally think eggs are fine but by-products are not. Cheese does not walk around...Carnivore is about real animal products and not what it is made from. Just because something is low carb it doesn't mean it's carnivore. Carnivore diet is not just about losing weight, it's about rebooting your system. But, I think people that want to loose weight should not try pure carnivore and instead just follow low or extremely low carb. Carnivore is not for everyone and you should check with your physician regularly and before you start. It works different for all. Remember, people are not the same, you might loose weight, but will have long term side effects. Take of your selves first.
I find if you are going to eat only meat with nothing else, then eating a smaller reasonable portion is better. My stomach feels much better probably because you should eat everything in moderation-too much meat is bad for my digestion. I don’t get constipated if I eat meat in smaller amount with nothing else. Too much of anything is bad for you. Too much vegetables is bad for you, too much carb is bad for you, and too much meat probably is bad for you. Whenever I try to loose weight I eat a smaller reasonable portion of meat with a bit of veggies, greens and very small portion of carb.
