My kiddo would love this. Fun tip for you - the Aldi brand of light sour cream is quite firm and would be great in this.

Sum1 in da house don't like toona, so I'll have to change the meat.... to big bacon bits, thanks cheeky, another awesome flavour to tempt our taste buds.

Thanks Zendukai I thought of you and Shelly when I was making this, I remember the ‘cat food’ comment lol. I hope Shellybits is slaying the competition in the Taste cooking cook-off. I hope you’ll both remember me when you’re rich and famous lol. Bacon, cooked meat of any kind would sub well here even 🦀 would be amazing and you have plenty of jetties to choose from to catch them. Thanks for watching and sorry about the Toona lol.;-))

Hey my little honorary research assistant, hit me with a Keto waffle recipe… I know it’s an ‘oxymoronical’contradiction but if anyone knows one you will. 🥸🧐😳

You could totally try cooking your 90sec bread recipe in the waffle maker, rather than the microwave. It should cook up lovely.

Hi Cheekyricho. These little pie maker cooked keto tuna melts look fabulous. I've not had a keto meal in a while. It's something alternative for me, not a diet. How's it going for you and richo? I can imagine it wasn't while you were cruising Taz. Thanks for another great keto recipe.

Thank you John this is a delicious recipe for everyone, not just people following a Ketogenic lifestyle. No, you’re right , I made this in my regular kitchen before we went. My intention was to upload it during our travels but that was very difficult in our cramped little camper plus I was knitting the scarf for a giraffe when we weren’t driving or sightseeing. You’ll be seen by another different kitchen soon as I am presently staying with my mum to support her as she has started her first round of Chemotherapy. I’m trying to make appetising, nourishing meals for her as the treatment is making her quite unwell and she isn’t up to cooking for herself at the moment. Richo has his own issues with his elderly sister being hospitalised, 140kms away, with heart failure and a different advanced cancer. We haven’t seen each other all week and our little dogs are missing me terribly. Luckily we got the Tassie trip finished before all hell broke loose st home. I’m glad you enjoyed this one. There is a new party pie maker out now but I’m seriously running out of room to store appliances but they would be great for making finger food and tiny bites for kids and oldies with smaller appetites. I’ve not seen one in person but watch this space for a very new and different small appliance I have just bought to share with you. Thanks for watching and your lovely feedback.;-)) hope you have a wonderful safe weekend!

@@CheekysKitchen I hope you can satisfy your mother's needs during this very trying time. We depended on our mother's love and care so much as littlin's and then the time comes when we have to give just some of that back in not so favourable circumstances. I hope it all goes well for your mum. This also applies to Richo's sister. This cannot be easy on them both. It's hard for all during these times. I'll be watching for the kitchen change when it comes about. My blessings to you and your family. I don't know about you, but I find tears can add flavour to a dish... sometimes.. 😢

@@CheekysKitchen I do believe I've seen that party pie maker, it was just a glimpse somewhere. Another "gadget"... I just this week replaced my ageing kitchen hand towels. My mum cut up regular sized hand towels, hemmed them and sewed tabs with press studs on each one to wrap around the cabinet door handle. But the tabs have frayed and the towels have thinned. So I used my IKEA $10 voucher and bought 4 new hand towels, $3 ea and 2 over door 18mm hooks for $3, a total of $15. Had the order shipped because of Covid Lockdown restrictions. The voucher paid the shipping cost. 👍👍 They look smart and a new addition.

What a kind heart you have John , your words of comfort are very much appreciated. My Mums Chemo was temporarily suspended yesterday due to a severe reaction to the treatment. It’s kind of a last resort thing and it knocked her sense of hope about. Richo’s sister is safe in a Hospital, at the moment, so he has come to visit us for the weekend to offer support. His kooky sense of humour has provide a welcome relief to an otherwise worrying time for us. My only sibling , my younger brother turned 60 yesterday and we welcomed another little boy to our small family on the same day. 2 baby boys born exactly 60 years apart. What are the chances of that? We caught up with my brother during the week, between treatments which was really lovely and the new arrival was the icing on the cake, a beautiful distraction, a brand new healthy great grandchild for my Mum to dote and fuss over and he has a big brother to grow up with. The circle of Life.;-))

What a great use of your IKEA voucher, I use lots of hand towels in the kitchen, like you mine are used until they are barely serviceable anymore. I buy the ones at fetes and market stalls that have a crocheted top with a button loop yo secure them to the cupboard handle. On my cook-a-thin days they get so wet from frequent hand washing they neatly take themselves to the washing machine lol. I like to support the old ladies that make them and often buy a couple at each time. If I don’t replace them immediately I’ve been known to reach for them when they weren’t there lol. they are all different colours, the only prerequisite, they must be absorbent snd not so long they touch the floor.. that’s it , we are inseparable until they give up the ghost and find their way out to the garage in Richo’s ragbag . That is their Long Service reward lol.🏆🥇🎖

Made them today, delicious. Used the Sunbeam 4 pie maker which is a bit deeper than yours so took 9 minutes instead of 7 to brown up. I got 6 patties out of your recipe. This is a really great receipe, the gurkins are a must.

Thank you very much Karl, glad you enjoyed it. My old sunbeam pie magic 4 has served me exceptionally well for more than 3 decades. Recently the non stick coating began to fail and was no longer non stick, my Sunbeam Waffle Maker was around the same age, had significantly less use and always cared for and stored correctly, interestingly the coating failed at around the same age as the pie magic. My experience has shown that the appliances work well and efficiently but the coating of over 30 years ago, for me only lasted for around 30 years. It’s highly unlikely I will be around for another 30 years to compare my current appliances with their well used predecessors. I hope you enjoy many years of faithful use from your Sunbeam 4, I’m glad you are exploring its versatility by using it for things other than pies as well. Thanks for the great feedback and for watching.;-))

Thank you very much for your kind support, I hope to bring you lots more interesting recipe ideas, my most recent purchase is a Sunbeam Vertical Waffle maker. I will be sharing some recipes using it shortly. To say I am impressed with it, is an understatement, I love it, so easy to make really cheap, perfect, breakfasts. So far I have made quite a few batches and served them in several ways. I can see this getting lots of use as I discover and invent new possibilities with it for my viewers. Thank you for you lovely feedback, It’s always nice to hear from my audience, I learn so much during our interactions.;-))
