Fantastic as always. Everything is so clear when Kevin Burke plays it, the interpretation is right on and the playing superb. Thank you for this.

I think Kevin is one of those few fiddlers, whose playing alone, unaccompanied, really makes you want to dance. He's just irresistable. Actually, sometimes I like it much better when there are fewer players than you would find in a pub session. Just give me a fiddler like Kevin, a good bodhran player, and perhaps a whistle or flute player, and that would be more than enough for me!

During the reels, it sounds like there are two fiddles playing at certain points. Incredible.

The reels set is Cottage Groves, Ed Reavey's Maudabawn Chapel and The Beare Island. He's one of the greats. No doubt.

I love that characteristic upward finger slide of his, especially the double-stopped one at around 5:21!

Sounds great! I'd love to hear it mastered/with a better recording device. Maybe I'll download some and see if he's worth buying!

@MrHathouse The last reel is Beare Island by Finbar Dwyer. I don't think its on the The Lonesome Touch album but I could be wrong.

Does anyone know the names of the tunes in this set?

For the people who are giving different names to the first reel, those names could all work. Many reals have several names.

Martina Chione King not really, people mix up the names of a tune, come up with a name based on who they heard it from or a for some other reason, doesn't make that the right name, its the curse of Irish music

First reel is The Wheels of the world.
