Kevin Durant is the player I rooted for after Kobe Bryant. He is one of the few guys that is certified and qualified to talk about Kobe. When the media started tearing Kobe down after the Achilles injury, Kevin Durant defended him and stood by him authentically and consistently.

Im Irish and i played basketball in Ireland for years. I love the game. My favorite players growing up were Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson. Kobe's death has shaken me to the core. Its something i'll never forget. Its changed my outlook on life.

There is something about Kobe’s passing that has affected every individual that has read about it. Even if they known or didnt know about him. Its very odd, i only just started getting in to balling but for some reason i wanted to cry when Kobe died even when i did not know much about him. I am glad that Vanessa used Kobe as one of their little girls’ middle name and i hope that the she succeeds his legacy when she is old enough. Hopefully the logo torch can be passed to Kobe. Something huge has to be done to memorialize the man. He obviously meant so much to so many people. I'm thankful though that in this brief moment in time, I was able to exist, and witness true greatness. It hurts right now, but time heals all wounds. Rest in peace Kobe, Gigi, and every other soul that was on that fateful flight.

A few years ago I remember there were conversations about changing the logo and most people opted to keep it as is, even though Jerry West had no problems with a change. Granted this is a much different time so it could happen, but don't be surprised if it stays the same.

It’s sad how most people don’t remember the prime Kobe that was so dominant and hated. Being at game 5 of the NBA finals in Orlando was a tough day, but I still respected him as a magic fan. I really hope the league does something so that his name is never forgotten.
