I met KG at the mall right by my house, He was wicked cool, stopped and had a conversation with me, took a couple pictures, and signed a couple things for me. Good dude.
KG was always one of my favorite players, and if you really knew KG and have been following him, you should know that this has been his personality since highschool.
Learned defense and the post offense from this man. His defensive IQ and post footwork were on another level. His defensive IQ and Kawhi's might be the best i've ever seen in the sense that theyre able to see what the offense is trying to do and switch on cue while still being able to close out on their own marks.
I was at that game “bar fight” in Orlando. The passion that kg played with was crazy. I could feel the intensity 5 rows back. What an amazing competitor he was
+TheAwkwardEnderman Fuck Kobe he would ball hog the conversation and not let anyone talk with his annoying philosophical trying-to-act-mature-as-fuck-all-time ass. Ernie is the mediator, but KG would be hilarious on it too. But you have to remember you can't have too much personality on a show. I think it's perfect the way it is now
KG IS BETTER!!! In their prime KG was WAY more talented than TD.. TD Also had Arguably the BEST COACH in NBA history TD had a basic game nothing flashy got the job done I'll admit.. KG led the league in rebounding FOUR YEARS IN A ROW (ONLY RODMAN 7 AND KARL MALONE 5 DID IT MORE) - TD never led the league in anything (well maybe championships) KG IS SECOND ALL TIME IN REBOUNDS KG is a better FT% shooter (+10% for his career)and then these: - Only player in NBA history to reach at least 25,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 5,000 assists, 1,500 steals and 1,500 blocks in his career - Only player in NBA history to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists per game for 6 consecutive seasons - Third player in NBA history to lead his team in all five major statistics (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) in the same season - Fourth player in NBA history to win Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year during his career
I am a huge KG fan but he is not better than Duncan.. Everyone points to Pop or Manu/Parker/Robinson as the reason for Duncan's success and while they have played a part, Duncan has been the constant throughout 17 years of great Spurs basketball. Also KG is not 2nd all time in rebounds.. I don't know where you got that from.
It's a good argument. I wonder how successful they would be if they traded places in their careers. As far individual skills, KG has a very slight edge in scoring and passing but Timmy has edge in blocking shots & rebounding department which is the most important. TD definitely turned that franchise around since he came into the league.
Even the biggest KG fans in the world aren't this delusional. Back to back MVPs, 5 championships, 3 Finals MVPs, in the top 5 MVP voting for the first 10 years of his career, winning at least 50 games every single year in the league. No doubt KG is a great player, but Duncan is top 10 all-time. You see his ugly face every single year, deep in the playoffs for the past 17 years.
