After 30 years in law enforcement I finally decided to retire. I have worked in both corrections & road patrol. I have seen a lot in both fields. After recently retiring it’s like the widows & doors have opened up on me. I seem to now be struggling w/ past experiences and can’t sleep. The on going dreams of when I arrived on scene after a friend / co-worker was shot and later died while I was helping search for his killer are on going. I have lost two other friends in the line of duty and LEO’s brothers & sisters to suicide. Since being retired I don’t leave home much. I do realize I’m struggling with all this.. however, I really appreciate your words. I still feel ashamed since I haven’t been to war. I have worked w/ many awesome ex military veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan ect. they seem fine.. yet, why am I struggling?. I feel weak & ashamed. Anyways.. I really do appreciate your honesty & video very much. Thank you for your service & for sharing your experiences. God Bless!

@@d.chiasson3307 Truly appreciate your kind words of encouragement & thoughtfulness with your response. Thank you! 🙏 Through much prayer & my faith in God things have improved significantly in my life. This could have been his way to get my attention to bring me back to where I was meant to be. All things work together for them that love the Lord. I’m thankful & feel truly blessed.
