A year ago, I read in a popular magazine that Spacey had a net worth of about $40 million. He did not spend all that on lawyers nor did he lead that lavish of a lifestyle. Sadly, his bad behavior led him to where he is today. I believe over 50 people have accused him of various inappropriate sexual advances that typically involved groping and grabbing their private areas. And when it happened in the workplace, it put the employee in a bad situation, fearing if they speak up, it will cost them their job. So this was a self-made downfall. I have always thought he was a good actor. But his inflated ego led him to believe he was untouchable and could behave badly with impunity.
He sexually harassed so many men on the set of House of Cards, and it goes back 40 years. There are criminal offenses but he has civil offenses and had to pay out some $30 million for that. I dont feel sorry for him one bit. He has always made my skin crawl.

What I've learned watching many documentaries and true crime cases is that the ones that are the loudest "moralists" are almost always the biggest monsters and creeps. 99% of the guys in the comments who are crucifying him probably have extremely disturbing things on their computers and are doing all sorts of disgusting things to the innocent ones. Pay attention to all the men in your family (dad, brother, uncle husband/boyfriend), they are most likely 100 times worse than you are trying to convince yourself they really are.

Attorneys are not cheap, in this capitalistic system. And if you want a GOOD, QUALIFIED attorney (to fight against prison time, or---in my case---present an estate issue, correctly) you're gonna pay a lot of money. And Kevin had to pay several attorneys; since 2018.

Not much sympathy here either, but it's not hard to imagine how lawsuits would swamp any "downgrading" he may have attempted. If your career suddenly implodes and you have many millions of dollars in legal bills and legal settlements, you can find yourself in a situation where your net worth is negative, at which point "downgrading" does nothing.

Mr. Spacey is not owning up to his vile behavior - "handsy" he says, his actions were a great deal worse than putting his hands on other men. He is getting off very lightly compared to others - I cannot work up any sympathy for him, and I do not miss him on the screen.

I had an old friend who got a small part in his movie Recount and told me Spacey was incredibly weird and inappropriate with him while they were filming his scene- this was long before his sexual orientation was revealed and any accusations were public information so I said something dumb like "woah haha that's so weird." I completely forgot about it until the story broke about all the men coming forward 10 years later and thought ooh dang this is what he was saying. He kind of said like it was something funny even though it was not, probably to undercut the weirdness he felt since talking about this stuff wasn't a thing in 2008, so I kind of just responded like it was something to laugh about. I feel bad I didn't realize what he was saying when he said it.
