Oh my days. Your face was my childhood. I'm 46 now but watching this I can suddenly hear my Uncle again, I can hear my mum telling me it's Sunday night and it's bath time. My sisters taping the Top 40 of the radio and I've just got my first girlfriend😊It feels like everyone is alive again. Absolutely wonderful to see the Godfather or Football manager games, in action where it all started! Spent so many hours on FM1, and spent my exam revision whilst playing FM2!!! 😂😂😂 I have bad exam results to prove it! lol! But, had lots of fun, and obviously the countless other games that were from the influence of the almighty, FM1 & 2! Thank you so much Kevin!!! 😃😃😃 P.s. I'm also an Argyle fan, but I am pro Devon teams! Good luck to Torquay, (I was a steward there, whilst Leroy Rosenior was there)hope they can rise up to the Football league again, where they belong!

So, wait... you're the one who designed and coded the original ZX Spectrum game? I LOVED this game! I was 13 when I played it in 1985, this game was brilliant and I spent so many hours on it. It was a perfect game, despite its apparent simplicitly. I loved watching the highlights, you really had the feeling that it wasn't faked, but calculated in real time, and now you confirmed it. Watching the matches and rooting for your team was one of the best things in the game, also you never knew when the game would end, if you or the opponent would have another chance... brilliantly designed. The managing part was simple but well designed as well, you had to manage injured players, you had all the elements to build the best possible team, plus I remember that there were random events that could be negative or positive and, if I remember correctly, you could also receive offers from other teams (not really sure about that, a long time has passed). One time I was able to break the game (I don't remember if intentionally or by chance) and realized it was written in BASIC, and I thought... well, the author is a genius! Thanks for making such an amazing game, you gave me and many others several hours of joy! 🙂Greatings from Italy and all the best!
Hello, Mr. Toms from the United States on the other side of the pond as it were... Big fan of your work going all the way back to the original ZX81 version (Timex Sinclair 1000 for us over here). I have a few questions on your kickstarter. I am interested in possibly funding the "player name" feature for someone close to me who had to quit her footy career due to injury. I think she'd get a big kick out of being in a soccer video game. Would it be OK to have a "girl" name in there? Can the kickstarter funder choose the position for their player? She was both a defender and goalkeeper, but she always viewed herself as a defender first. Lastly, if the poster option is chosen, can the funder request a personal inscription with the autograph? Maybe something like, "Congratulations on making the team" or something like that. Thank you for your responses and looking forward to the new game coming out.... Oh, one more thing. I notice there is no "free game" reward for the kickstarter... probably too difficult to implement in the app stores... How much do you expect the game to cost when it is done? Thank you again!! So glad this classic lives on!
ZX81, :) the beginnings. Once the Kickstarter has funded I will contact about the posters and I am sure it will be possible to make an inscription. Regarding the name, challenging question, and a good one. I have no problem with it, it's perhaps a good wildcard in the game, that would generate some amusing reactions. You have other options, a nickname or initials. The only requirement is polite. You are right there is no free game because is not technical possible with the App Stores. The game will be freemium model so downloading it in the first place is free. Choosing a position, at the moment I cannot do that, I am examining it

hi MR TOMS my first ever footy game i played back in the day played this game untill my zx broke the most aditive game going did you have anything to do with sensible soccer fa cup manager mla manager and then whent on to football mamager did intend for the game to be so aditive and fun happy 40 years on by the way am 47 still playing these types of games
