Hi Kevin and Tammy, I had to use this sinus rinse for 4 months after I had my tear ducts reconstructed. I boiled a quart of water every day, let it cool and put it in the refrigerator for when I need to use it. Just a little tip… The rinse feels better if you heat the water in the microwave for about 15 seconds. By that I mean the saline rinse should be tepid too warm. It just feels more soothing. Thanks for all your reviews! I love your channel. XO Leslie

Yep. I was going to recommend distilled water or boiled and cooled water. You don't want to get any nasty fungus or infection from tap water being in your sinuses. But these sort of things are a great option! Glad you got some relief! Brett, PharmD hahah

Distilled or boiled a must; tap water can have bacteria that our mouth/stomach can handle, but our sinuses can't!

Great video! I liked it a lot better than all of the professional ones, even. You guys made me feel a lot more at ease and you were even throwing jokes in here and there and that helped because I get nervous and didn't wanna screw it up. >.< I bought myself one of these kits years ago but after giving it two different tries, put it back in my closet and that's where it has stayed, collecting dust all these years, so this video was a nice refresher. I've been having these INSANE stomach issues caused by severe post nasal drip in which my nasal spray doesn't seem to be touching, so a walk-in doc suggested that I try out one of these and by luck, I still had mine! (Yay for not having to spend money! 😂😂😂) My first time trying out this rinse, I'd feel like I had been crying for HOURS after I had gotten done with a treatment and I couldn't STAND it, so I never stuck with it. This time, however, I feel just fine. 😕🤷 So weird.... No idea why, though. Last time I used distilled water and this time I used spring water, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it. 🤔🤷 Either way, I hope that this keeps up and that I get some kind of results because I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. 😑 Hope all is well with you guys.

I know this is an older video... but I have used this for years! Tami’s so funny “I’m not seeing mucus...” when I first used it - it took 3 or 4 days, and I had a humongous piece of mucus slide out. And I was like 😱 “oh sh**! Where was that hiding?!” And once that was out... I felt so much better 👍

U dont have to use a the whole bottle everytime. Just enough to where u get one side rinsed out. And u can do it again at night. No need to throw away the mixture m. A full mix should last a week. Also just wash bottle with soap and let air dry. No need to replace it every three months

If you are severely congested (as with a sinus infection) you will have to repeat it after a pause to let the moisture get into the mucus. Yes, sometimes you will see the mucus come out! But the relief is so worth it!

Not wrong. I was nervous. Held off for a couple weeks even though two doctors recommended a rinse. I was afraid of the pain I remember swimming in a pool and you get water in your nose. But there was non of that. Just the salty flavor from the solution. It did take longer than expected to get the excess saline solution out.

Did you know that rinsing your mouth out with Warm table salt water or warm sea salt water is much safer and better then doing it with plain regular mouthwash because unlike mouthwash if you accidentally swallow some of the salt it's not going to cause any harm what so ever like mouthwash does because we do eat salt after all anyway almost everysingle day of it

Like all natural remedies, it works over time. I have been doing it for 2 months, what difference in breathing. It kills pathogens and helps with allergy a lot instead of taking the chemicals aka drugs that doctors want to give you. I do it whenever I shower, very easy and no mess.

Hi Kevin and Tami, thank you for another interesting video. Kevin I'm glad your sinus' cleared up. Just want to pass on this info: before I was first diagnosed as pre-diabetic nearly 7 years ago, one of the things I kept getting was re-occurring sinus infections and I learned that pre-diabetes and an increase incidence of sinus infections sometimes correlate (hope I'm saying that right). Anyway, you probably take care of yourself, but consider getting your blood sugar tested to be sure you're not pre-diabetic or diabetic.

Great video - but you really shouldn’t use bottled water. Not for nothing but we think b/c it’s bottled - it’s safe. Not so, many bottled water contain fluoride & you shouldn’t be shooting that up your nose. Distilled water or better yet (boiled water) that has cooled down

what if you use tap water what will happen?
@cernunnos2179
@cernunnos2179 4 года назад
@@joannewilliams3596 distilled water is pretty much pure H2O, at least it should be. it's evaporated and then cooled which removes pretty much everything that is not water from it. tap water, especially heated tap water, contains calcium, magnesium, sand, and other contaminants, including dissolved gases like methane. you're assuming that the system that delivers your water is safe every time you use it. But if there's a break and you don't see the boil order notification in the newspaper, facebook, et al, or like a lot of people, never even really think about boil orders, you run the risk of inoculating yourself in a large quantity and very quickly with some very nasty waterborne bacteria that may linger until the lines are fully recharged with clean water and have time to flush. cold tap water suspends less minerals and contaminants. so if you're going to use tap water, you should boil cold tap water to reduce the risk of waterborne bacteria colonizing your sinuses.

I leaned way over and tilted my head. I did feel a cold sensation in my throat but no water ran down the back of my throat. Which that was what scared me most was having that drowning sensation. But that did not happen at all. And I guess it depends on how bad your sinus infection is. Because mine is I guess severe enough that it's yellow and green that's exactly what I had come out the very first time I used it. Thanks again keep you posted if it clears everything up.

I just tried this myself after watching your video I went up to Walfart and got one for like 12 bucks after tax. Here lately I have tried sudafed, zyrtec, mucinex, alka seltzer decongestion and the only thing that actually worked was a nasal spray with oxymetazoline and even that only worked for a few hours and that stuff is bad for ya in a prolonged useage. I always was really leary about trying this because I thought it would like when you get water up your nose when swimming in a pool. I think as long as you lean over and have your mouth open too it wont burn but still is a very wierd sensation the first time doing this. I do agree this would be better than the nette pot for the reasons you stated and so far definitely working better than all those other drugs I tried:) I am already feeling a lot better out of one of my nostrils. The other one I guess wants to be stubborn, I guess it just takes after me lol. But thanks for the video it was the final factor in me actually trying this.

@@TamiDunn so far its only temp relief and I am clogged back up not too long afterwards. I been doing a lot of research lately and I think I have figured out why I am having so many problems lately. I guess dry weather really can screw with sinus. So I been trying like crazy to raise the humidity first 24 hours it was next to impossible to raise the humidity. I think it was because that the the room and the objects in the room were sucking up up the humidity. But now I finally got my bedroom at least above 50%. Which seems to be helping. Today after I got home I walked into the bedroom and I had a fog layer lol. up over 70% now:) I hope this will really help and get my sinus healed up then I plan on bumping it back down to between 50 n 60% humdity because I dont want mold issues to happen. I believe anything over 65% humidity is where mold can start to form.

Sometimes you don't have any snot come out. But many times you will have a big wad of snot come out. Also, If you have a sinus headache, many times you will have a little round bit of snot (sinus channel snot plug) once that comes out then your sinuses can drain. It is amazing how snot can be like a big bunch of glue. If you get it wet then it will finally dislodge from the nasal wall and come out. You can also, mix Colloidal Silver into the salt water and the Silver is a natural disinfectant. Over time you can heal your sinus infection problems with Colloidal Silver in the sinus rinse.
@cernunnos2179
@cernunnos2179 4 года назад
inflammation is generally the main reason you're clogged not "snot". while mucus can certainly build up, allergens and illness will cause the body to respond with an inflammatory process. if you're actually getting a lot of snot, there's probably something else going on in the environment. Snot will eventually leak out while your inflamed sinuses certainly will not...environments such as working without a respirator at a mineral extraction facility, smog, pollen bursts and fireplaces in the home will certainly induce mucus production along with inflammatory response. flushing colloidal silver up your nose won't hurt but it won't reduce inflammation and it certainly won't change the environmental conditions(or the body's ability to cope) which cause someone to have sinus issues.

Okay. I was really apprehensive about getting one and doing, even after watching another video of a first time user. BUT after watching you, I'm going to do it tomorrow! Oh God! Did I just sound excited? Ugh!
@ambientrelaxingandhealingm7552
I used to for the first time today myself. Had this cough (from a cold I've had for a few days) and wasn't able to sleep. As they say use very filtered water or bottled water (or water that's been well boiled and then of course cooled off) but don't use tap water. So far, I like it better than my Neti Pot as it's easier to control and less uncomfortable and awkward. The premixed packets also is great because less of a chance of putting too much or too little in with the (warm but not hot) water.

@SuperGuanine 5 лет назад
I'd bring it to you but I'm American, a female and those are the worst things you can be in saudia arabia. you could fashion something if you can''f find a neti-pot. boil water with a bit of salt -- dissolve the salt, let the solution cool and pour it into one nostril, let it flow out of the other nostril and rinse and repeat w. other nostril.

Thank you for the review! I really appreciate that. I have had a great fear of doing this because I cannot swim and when water even goes up my nose a little I feel like I can't breathe, so that's why I've been putting this off. But I have such severe sinus issues now. Do you feel like someone like me could do this?

Not sure if you've tried it yet... the two big differences between water up your nose here and swimming: with this you keep your mouth open and can breathe and the water isn't chlorinated. I just started and found it to be super easy.

I JUST DONE IT ALSO MY EXPERIENCE IS ITS LIKE A FLEET FOR YOUR NOSE .
@TruFrag
@TruFrag 2 года назад
2016... nice, anyway, thanks helped me decide to try this over my normal Walmart upside-down one. For it to do amazingly well, take a nice hot steamy shower beforehand. You can also breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose as you squeeze. Decongestants and an anti-inflammatory 15 minutes beforehand will greatly improve your success in my experience. After you have successfully cleared your sinus a few times you can start to feel where the blockage is, where it's stuck, and you can learn how to almost aim the stream to hit the blockage just right. At the end on a bad blockage where the water does make it through but just barely. I'll do a full neti pot up to 3 times in a row. to clear it. The relief is just too amazing. BE WARNED if you use it and it hurts or just doesn't want to come out the other side of your nose but instead only out your mouth, eye, or into the middle ear seek medical help you may have a more severe medical condition. Use only Distilled Water (Prefered), Boiled Tap Water for 5 minutes, and cool to ambient (Second Best) You can also use filtered water just make sure the filter has an absolute pore size of 1 micron or smaller. (0.2 micron is optimal, Third Best Option) IF AND ONLY IF AFTER ALL OF THOSE OPTIONS ARE GONE OR UNAVAILABLE Google how to sterilize water using unscented bleach for use in nasal irrigation. This isn't a Joke. This is a real warning. The Brain-eating Amoeba is a real thing and it's not a nice way to die.

The simple answer is use distilled water. You don't know what is in your tap water. Even after you boil it, you still have minerals in it. Distilled has NOTHING but water in it. The minerals you may encounter in tap water may not be the best thing to be snorting when you are experiencing sinus problems. Distilled water doesn't cost that much. You paid for this much for this product, why cheap out over a dollar for clean water?

@@TamiDunn I actually have them a call. I was told to gently squeeze the bottle, because otherwise it could hit my ear or eye socket and cause a shiner to occur. I decided to try it again today, so hopefully I don't get the same response!
