@bowmgk9 start with 20 lb FINS braid . . . use heavier line as you target larger fish.

I caught some mangroves and sheepshead in a canal behind a friend's house in florida this thanksgiving....I had a light rod with 4lb line. Also caught a 6 pound jack crevalle. tons of fun on light tackle

@oceantrolls73 shrimp will work, but the snapper will tear them up easier, live menhaden or greenies seem to last longer on your hook.

i wish you guys would do some west coast eppisodes. i personally know several top notch guides that would be happy to take you. it's a different type of fishing here in san diego, but when you hook into a big homeguard yellowtail, it'll make you wonder why you don't live here.

@slkslkbkbk Obviously not big enough lb test because that big momma broke my line . . . unfortunately, in this episode I grabbed the wrong rod that only had 20 lb test. The fishing guides down there recommend 50 lb test braid when going after big snook in the mangroves.
