Do it consistently may not seem like it’s workin ,but if you keep at you’ll see yourself getting better. And also have to accept the fact others may be more athletic than you, but what determines you is how much work you wanna put in to ultimately be better than those “gifted “ .
Nice. For me personally as a basketballer the thing missing in my routine which i added as my new focus was flexibility and mobility through full range of motion. So so important.
Great video. 6ft Basketballer with more of a rugby player build. I’m quick on my feet, reasonably strong and well set up but my vertical sucks. From your channel and others like knees over toes i have gained great insight into athletic performance. Last few weeks I have changed my focus to work on flexibility and getting strong through full range of motion. Feel like this is what will make me dunk next year. Cheers for the great videos and blessings from the uk 🙏
We love using Olympic Lifts and doing full versions where you land in a deep squat for snatch and clean. This improve coordination, mobility and leg strength. Bench press with an emphasis on speed will also be very beneficial for wrestling 💪
After this summer I’m working a good paying part time and got enough money to get into a gym and get at home equipment I just want to learn how to get more energy to do so
Great Stuff ,I wish I would have had your videos when I was a wrestler and a fighter !To have these resources is amazing ! I use them in my Highschool weight Training classes at East Peoria highschool as well when I coach Wrestling.Thank you
some questions, how do i know what fibre type i have? and where can i find exercises to help me transfer strength to my specific sport (brazillian jiu jitsu/grappling), also what is the best way to develop rapid coordination?
For me I am naturally good at most sports, I play basketball, soccer, cricket, golf. But i dont like how i look when i run and play sports. Any advice to make me look better when i run and when i jump
I'm looking to improve athletic performance for soccer, after watching your videos I'm going to be putting emphasis on olympic lifts but also need unilateral lifts/plyos, sprints, CV work, ligament/tendon strengthening and mobility, this is all along with sport training. How would you go about balancing this? Also I'm finding training to be impacting my nervous system to the extent of having a complete deload period of 5 days near enough every 10 days, are there any supplement/methods that help prevent overtraining (if you have a video lmk because im new to the channel)
Manage your volume you don't need so much volume+are you sleeping and eating enough and if you are an athlete you just need 2 or 3 days max to be in the gym
Try to be well rounded, hitting upper and lower body. Focus on shoulder exercises, which are important for power in tennis, and ballistic lifting for the lower body, for example squats done at very fast speed, training your body to be explosive
Well u will need both haha. Most ppl have em very balanced either way. In the weightroom focus MOSTLY on strength and power. Think 1-5 reps generally speaking
You do generally need both, but you ultimately need to be fast twitch in order to have explosive shots and counter your opponent effectively. We usually go 1 to 3 reps on Olympic lifts
