Understanding Julius Randle is that he gets better when surrounded by great players. Brunson elevated him. Then Hart and Hartenstein did. And then Anunoby took it to a whole new level. We should want to see Randle and Anunoby together for more than 14 games!

A long time ago the Knicks traded for Earl the Pearl Monroe and people said how will it work with Walt Clyde Frazier as his back court mate. It worked really well. They won 1973 championship. Earl the Pearl adjusted his game to make it work. Get an intelligent player and they can work it out.

agreed except bridges. not necessarily better than randle, but would complete our team and give us needed d if/when OG hurt again. if we can over pay for bridges, we owe it to JB to get his guy

Fred had an article about OG and “spacing cuts”. In the article DDV had a quote where he said some guys don’t make that cut bc they want to force you to pass them the ball. I don’t know if anyone does that more than Julius Randle. Can I see DDV getting mad bc he wants more shots and touches? Not really. Can I see him being unhappy with the offense and how everyone plays within it? Yeah. A lot of guys have been ask to stand in the corner and most have expressed displeasure

Knicks should explore what it would take with Mitch involved to get a Caruso. Obviously they shouldn't go crazy here but if the Bulls ask is reasonable, I'd be very open to such a move. Only downside is that like Mitch, he's very injury prone but he is slightly less costly and fills a greater need, especially if he's willing to extend beyond next year.

The issue with Julius is as an aging injured player with inconsistent defense is he willing to take less again? he is not a value at 200 million level contract

I gotta disagree with Fred. They need a better backup Center. Mitch isn’t reliable and a liability at the strip and on offense if he isn’t grabbing boards. Need to let him go

Completely agreed. They gotta move on from Mitch and get a more dependable backup center (whether via draft, trade, or FA) who better fits the modern game and costs less on the books.

PG isn't worth giving up any picks for unless he's taking something significantly below the max (which all indications are he's not). He's a negative value player on the max at his age and diminished productivity.

Randle makes 25 mil and gives you 25/10/4 PG and any other “star” will want $45-$55 It doesn’t make sense to trade Randle plus picks for a guy over 30 who wants max money. A guy like Murray or Bridges make more sense… young Villanova guy making under $30 for 3 yrs

More depth. I think Green will take a star leap a la the Sabonis/Haliburton trade. This would benefit both teams. Eason would slot as the back up 4 and is a defensive player who Thibs would like. I didnt specify which picks, could be a second rounder, could be one of the protected picks, calm down and eat a snickers. You were probably one of the dorks who wanted to trade Randle for a bag of peanuts a couple of years ago, now you think he is untouchable?
