All methods to acquire the key card in "Desperate Measures" KGB HQ mission in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. 00:00 - Poison 07:38 - Prisoner 13:16 - Frame Charkov 20:07 - Armory
Charkov actually likes Dimitri, so much that he doesn’t just turn him in, and has real concern in his voice when Beilikov starts choking and dying from the poison
It's so weird that most non-Russians use "Dimitri" or "Dmitri" when it's actually "Dmitriy", with a closed sound, where Y is Russian Й, which is a consonant that is similar to Y in "Yes", minus the "-es" part. You'll never see "Dimitri" or "Dmitri" being used in post-USSR
Actually, I think they were friends (at least, Charkov seemed to think that). Belikov knows his wife (if you look at her picture and talk about it), also they were involved in same operations (if you look at the helicopter picture and talk about it). So, yeah...glad I took the option to give a cigar to the guard, instead of killing Charkov or discredit him to Kravchenko
I'm not one for first person shooters but I like the Cold War setting and this had a lot of stuff other than run and shoot. The evidence sections and the spy parts were pretty well put together. It's also very aesthetically pleasing.
Belikov felt the wrath of General Charkov's Russian Reverse Card XD Edit: oh wait *Intense Russian Thinking* If Drink up, my friend and I already have: In America Belikov poison Charkov In Soviet Russia Charkov Poison Belikov. If The Distraction Choice has been chosen and "I Already Have": In America Charkov Poison Belikov In Soviet Russia Belikov poison Charkov "know your Non-poisoned Tea, Pieceofcharkovtrash" -Belikov
@@WhisperAH u ever heard of Russian Reversal right? It's a joke which starts with the words "In Soviet Russia". That's how Charkov Reversed The poison to Belikov, I think...
Charkov: What's next ? Are you going to kill me for it ? Belikov: No, no, general, allow me to show it first how I am going to kill you *sips coffee* . . . *Belikov dies*
@@tacticalfall4505 looks like they may have put some milk in the tea. It's a very common thing to do in Russia. And I'm roetty sure in Soviet Russia where this took place in, I don't really think they had ready access to coffee, but I may be wrong
i love how the Russian says “we are in great danger from the capitalist” it sounded identical to when John F. Kennedy said “we are in great danger form the communists”
epic fails in that one 😂, but he plays this game pretty stealth enough , but just a minor mistake like not closing the door , everything else is well played and he did all side missions which is really good , this mission should be played safely and silently until we arrives in the bunker
I love how this missions ties together both the MW and original Black Ops stories together, by having mentions of Zakhaev and even having Kravchenko present.
@@EthanGold420 you can only do one, if you kill charkov then you get the keycard. So only one option works unless you made your own and then killed him.
For the poison one, when I poisoned him I picked "I wish I would have been a better friend" which was sad to me and I kind of wished we didn't have to kill him in that scenario
Death of stalin did something similar, all the russians were represented by different parts of the uk and their language was understood as long as they spoke russian but it was vocally shown as heavilly accented english
It's so non-russian players can still hear the dialogue and understand it in real-time, as opposed to having to read subtitles. I prefer subtitles personally but I don't mind this design choice
@depressedrobloxgamer all other options would still 'save his family' (according to how you say it) since the interrogation is delayed due to charkov's incarceration/death. poisoning would only kill charkov, prisoner would kill the prisoner and charkov, framing would (obviously) frame charkov, and armory (bribing guard) would kill no one. poisoning and prisoner would delay due to charkov's death, while framing charkov would delay... well, because the kgb needs to deal with the 'mole', it'd either be delayed or handed to a different officer (if done before belikov's operation) and armory could delay if belikov's operation occurs before the abductions.
And there’s another way! You can sneak into Charkov’s office through the other door (the one you exit out of from the poison method). Charkov will be standing with his back towards you looking in a filing cabinet. Walk up behind, take him out, and grab the key with no one knowing.
@@mercedesbenzdelos90s No bro, they were known for being really efficient with their security and intel, they had decades of experience with spying after all. The reason their security is bad is because its a game, and in real life a 3 man team would get wasted quickly.
Charkov actually knew dimitri was the mole, but charkov liked dimitri and didn’t want to turn him in until he has evidence. So they really did know in a way but the luck and coincidence that they had that mission before they ever caught dimitri allowed him to escape without consequences.
i believe this was inspired by that stealth mission from COD WW2 & it's the In-Depth version of it since Sledgehammer is also participated in the making of this game...
The depiction of the Soviet uniform is far better here than that in the original Black Ops. However, KGB security units would not have red shoulder boards and collar tabs, instead they would be a dark royal blue. The Cyrillic inscription "СА" on the shoulder boards stands for "Советская Армия" or "Soviet Army". It would be more appropriate to have the Cyrillic inscription "ГБ" or "Государственная Безопасность" or "State Security" on the shoulder boards instead, since they are KGB units and not regular army units.
Best Mission in the game! I loved the freedom you have with this mission, wish more cod campaigns had this sort of fun to it. Maybe an entire cod should be like this campaign, with all the features like stealth, optional evidence which leads to missions and optional tasks 🤔
Man, when I saw all the options to do this in the game, I misunderstood and thought I had to do ALL of this in an effort to eventually poison Charkov. I was so excited for an entire level like this. I did the “persuade prisoner” method and was disappointed that was the only thing I had to do to move the mission along.
@@roskcity they actually did better job than usual, just compare Soviet soldiers models with black ops 1 counterparts, it's clear sign of progress in regard of authenticity.
@@CBRN-115 its the only pistol in the campaign. Even soviet guards will whip one out in the middle of a base. i dont get it. edit: it isnt the only pistol in the campaign but the only one the AI uses.
@@CBRN-115 20rnd m16 mags display 30/40round capacity, eastern germany using mp5, mp5 in vietnam,.. Game sure looks good but it seems call of duty can never get their weapons right.
I think killing Charkov is actually the more moral way for him to go over framing him. I really would not want to be holed up in a Soviet high security prison.
Well, it just fake evidence that made roughly on site, and no matter what Zakhaev will reveal Belikov is the mole in the end so the charge on Charkov might wont last long
JFK: We are in great danger from the Communists, Our Freedom, Our Very way of life Is at risk. Gorbachev: We are in great danger from the Capitalists, Our Collective, Our Very way of life is at risk, Which Quote was better said?
When I did this I did two different methods in one go to try to keep Belikov undercover. I framed the other guy as well as made a fake bunker key, leaving almost no traces back to Belikov. Then he gets caught anyway lmao
Mark Ivanir plays Belikov. He was also on Metro Last Light and Exodus as Pavel and Krest (which is where I recognised that voice from) Also Kamarov in MW3. So many actors in the CoD games I recognise from Metro as well. And alot of them are from the Ukraine
Reminds me of the Noveria mission in the original mass effect where you have to obtain a garage pass. It allowed multiple different methods of obtaining it, that affected what happened to other characters. Lots of fun.
I think realistically the fake evidence one is the best. Nobody suspects anything and the one person that did is in jail. The mole has been found and now there should be no more investigation. If Belyakov lives to see another day with no suspicion he gets a medal for finding the mole.
I think the frame one is so funny because charkov already know that belikov is the mole but belikov say that it was charkov and gave the fake evidence. Oh man that is so brutal
I loved the campaign, but if all missions had this many ways of completing it, it would be by far the best cod campaign and one of the best campaigns in general
•Delete any trace of you being the mole and point all evidence to Charkov. •Have Charkov be killed by the prisoner. Now there's no evidence of you being the mole, Charkov was killed in an unfortunate situation out of your hands, and his death will not be investigated because he was a mole against the Motherland.
