THAT is the Kharn that I love reading about. Not the screaming maniac frothing at the mouth... the dead quiet, cold, utterly ragefilled but completely in control warrior who picks and chooses who dies, and who's combat skills are so amped up that even Khorne looks at him and says "Wow, I don't even need to offer him power or any kind of reward. I can just let him do what he does unaltered..." Maybe one day...one day we'll finally get to see the end of Erebus, at the end of Kharn's axe again. And then Erebus can find out the Gods were laughing in his face for all those millennia.
I'm pretty sure he's amped by Khorne here. Don't get me wrong, Kharn would steamroll Erebus in any fight they had, but here he brutally takes apart an elite Space Marine duelist by just being too fast and too strong, no one could do that without some juice.
My hope is that Erebus' end comes when it is because of betrayal at the hands of one of his fellow Word Bearers who is taking his place as the go to guy of Chaos. That he is being replaced because even the Gods are sick of him.
@@harmonicajay91 well the potential candidates for whooping Erebuses nasty ass is Kor Phaeron, Corax (if whiney bitch ever leave Sicarus) and Kharn (Vengeance is not succeed he need to finish the job with coldblooded fury)
Gotta love how blinded and egotistical Erebus is: he doesn't expect to face consequences for slaying Argal Tal. He literally never conceived that Kharn would show up for vengeance. What an absolute imbecile.
@@hell1942 They were best friends, close as brothers. Argel was also keeping Kharn from fully embracing the madness and bloodlust of Khorne, which is why Erebus killed him.
Yeah, I just wanna see Kharn angry, but completely in control. Not breathing hard, but dodging with ease and boredom. And him quietly saying "Get up." in a calm, cold manner. As if nothing had happened.
@@purplefood1 They restocked their geneseed by stealing World Eaters geneseed...from a Feral Oceanic World where tribesman hunted predatory sea beasts. I made a video about it, but the quality isn't that great.
Kharn represents the perfect embodiment of fury here, imo. The World eaters as a whole are violence and murderous frenzy made manifest. But Kharn? He's the embodiment of focused hatred in this one moment. He doesn't need to monologue or show just how utterly PISSED he is at Erebus. He just wants to vent his rage on the one person he hates more than anyone now.
*Spoilers for 'Fear To Tread'* My timeline for the HH books gets a little fucked up - does this happen before or after Horus takes Erebus's face off? Edit - Ignore me, I got my answer at 5:29
