Before any more large events happen I wanted to cover the rise of the other primarch! The First awoken, the avenging son! More Guilliman on the way once I can get to some recording again (Busy time at the moment) If you enjoyed it please do the usual, the like comment and subscribe! And, my thanks for watching!
After spending centuries dedicating your life to protecting the egg they're messing with... Swearing to the promise that nothing must ever happen to it.
I love that the auto reliquary actually had a light that went from red to green and chimed like a toaster oven. I just imagined it went *ding* primarch done!
I had to restrain myself so much to not add in a little oven ding or Windows XP wake up noise subtly in the background for that haha Thanks for watching!
You either become the first person in thousands of years to be killed by a loyalist primarch, if you're lucky you might even scratch his armour before dying, or you become the first person in ten thousand years to kill a loyalist promarch. For a Khornate fellow it's a win win.
It was a win-win for the berzerker shed the blood of a primarch, or have his blood shed by a primarch. If his hate consumed mind was still capable of rational thought before he died, that would have been the easiest decision of his life.
The khorne berserker knew he had no chance against guilliman. Being the very first warrior to be slain by a primarch in almost 10000 years was such an honor in itself.
Thank the emperor he turned his blind rage and bolters back at the enemy and not at the group over seeing the Primearch. That could have gone horribly wrong and could have interfered with his awakening. Calgar and Dantey need to have a group therapy session lmao. Those two need it
It’s funny how Guilliman is always labeled as the pencil pusher bureaucrat. It seems ppl forget he’s a Primarch, one of the gene forged GENERALS by the Emperor ( beloved by all) himself , tasked with bringing WAR and CONQUEST to the edges of the galaxy
I think people also forget that one time Lorgar ruined his favourite world. Bobby G was voided into space, but not only did he survive, he was stomping around unarmed on the Macragge's Honour's hull, popping Word Bearers like bubble wrap, while screaming in unrelenting rage. The day's treachery left him literally too angry to fall to the same anathema that killed and corrupted Horus, and he tore out Kor Phaeron's heart for the favour. This is also the same guy who, one minute was treating his dear eldest brother Lion to a stately dinner, then the next minute, threw him through a wall for bringing Kruze to Macragge. The guy really has one of the worst tempers of any of them, he's simply been raised and drilled to keep it under control... *most* of the time.
There’s a difference between a bureaucrat and a statesman. A bureaucrat presides over the mutation and entropy of an existing system. A statesman makes systems that actually work.
@@lordlopikong6940 Lorgar? Nah, he would've been murdered by Guilliman in a fight. Also, remember a raging Guilliman was capable of stalemating dying Angron and Lorgar back on the Shadow Crusade. Very few people can say to have clutched a 2v1 like Rowboat.
Guilliman returns, he sees how his empire their father’s dream has fallen, he sees a GoThicc space elf baddie also in the battle.. ON HIS SIDE Also Guilliman “I have several questions.”
There is nothing that can convince me that Cawl wasn’t blasting “The only thing they fear is you” from Doom Eternal or “Derezzed” Tron Legacy when Guilliman started fighting.
I think "Derezzed" is better because it's start is more of a resurgence after silence the way Guilliman came out of stasis, instead of starting a new cycle the way the Doomslayer was awoken.
@@adarshkamoda9183 On the one hand yes, on the other Guilliman pretty much went from 0 to 9999 with no stops along the way when it came to blasting and slicing Chaos Marines
@@AdamMichalMarkowski Oh, yeah... and on top of that, everyone just stopped to stare at him because no one ever felt a Primarch's aura in their lives. And when they looked in his eyes, his rage would seem divine to any lesser mortal.
To be fair to Guilliman. I don't like anyone waking me up either... This has to go down as one of the most epic cases of all time of 'wrong side of the bed' syndrome!
Imagine you've pressed snooze 10000 times in a row then some horrible little Xenos and Chaos worshippers start having a party right outside your bedroom 🤬👿
Guilliman: “Father, save me…” *10,000 year intermission* Guilliman: *wakes up wearing new armor, armed with his father’s sword, standing before friend and foe alike. Including his ally Belisarius Cawl and a lot of daemons* Guilliman in his mind: “Thank you, father” *Immediately proceeds to rip and tear a Khorn Berserker clean into 2 pieces*
Asleep for 10,000 years. Essentially frozen in time not long after his battle with his fallen brother. Surrounded by Chaos worshippers. He opens his eyes to the Khorne berserker charging him *BFG 10k starts playing* What a badass way to reintroduce him to the story. Without hesitation of any kind nor a word spoken, he immediately charges into a frenzy. The Big Blue Chad.
While I sometimes find myself wanting a little more nuance from certain factions, Khorne especially (which is not something completely outlandish in the lore), I have to admit that in an universe like 40K their bluntness can be refreshing sometimes.
I cant decide who had the better return. Guilliman or The Lion. Both returns were written really well. Cant wait for them reunite with each other and form the legions again.
I think i like Guilliman's return just a tad bit more cause of how dire everything seemed up until now. Up until now the Imperium have been fighting a losing war and just prolonging the inevitable. Guilliman's return feels like the first time in emperor knows how long that the Imperium actually gets a proper W. His return marks the moment when hope returned to the Imperium and it felt like they finally had a fighting chance.
Both returns were great but different.. Guilliman's was more immediate and straightforward.. No lessons to be learned or tests to be undertaken just sheer rage and fury whilst the lion was more creeping towards a big entrance where he had to earn fealty and the emperor's shield in order to face angron through tests of will and spirit..
If we look at this from perspective of their respective legions/chapters I would say Ultramarines had better deal, since Guilliman returned in front of their eyes and started helping them out, taking control of his old legion in a very respective manner, not really criticizing anyone. We are yet to see Lion have a word with rest of Dark Angels, but I have a feeling that both their possible reluctance to accept absolved Fallen and lengths they went to in order to hunt them down throughout the years will at least earn them few harsh words. Yes, Lion made his own mistakes, yes Lion used to keep secrets. But Lion also used to be unforgiving and Lion did grow as a character learning much during Imperium Secundus time.
Guilliman by a lot the Lion leave's the Blood Angels and doesnt drop with them so he can use his new Forest Path power which takes exactly long enough extra for Dark Angels to worry that Dante is not being honest and Angron to down three Dreads and Blitz a full Honour Guard so yeh poor first battle for Lion if he had dropped with Dante he could have saved a couple of squads at least.
A chime sounding as the auto-reliquary completed it's task leaves the mental image of an oven timer marking the completion of the baking, and Cawl's binharic outburst to that of a satisfied baker.
The arival of a godling. The 13th son of the Emperor, the Avenging Son, Robute Guilliman of Ultramar, his arrival back into life the clear psycokenetic ding of a microwave.
Listening to this I just wish to see some 3d video that depicts this epic battle and the revival of Guilliman. Your voice over and a epic video to go along with it can really make this amazing. Excellent job as always man!
That would be a fantastic sight to see, indeed! Hopefully once day we can get that, for all of the Primarchs! and, my thanks, for the kind words and for watching!
The Lion's return felt a little underwhelming to me at first too but the more I think on it the more I like it. This is spectacular too but something about the slow, creeping hunt before the full reveal and the flood of memories pouring back in felt really fitting. and, my thanks for watching!
I actually kinda liked it, it would have felt like a cop out, it made them each more unique, and was a fitting choice of story for the lion who has a much more complex relationship to his marines, and a much more complex character overall (compared to Guillemin), both had story and action, it just depends on which one went first, with guillimin is was action then story, then with the lion it was story then action.
Each return contrasted their respective primarchs perfectly. The Lion was a machine. He was not cruel, nor did he take pride in his work, yet his primary directive has always been killing immediately, never ask questions, never tell anyone, what must be done is done. For him to return and start killing everything is precisely The Lion as a demigod child, he listened to his father without question. I do not mean child as an offence, he's in my top 3 (2nd behind Sangyboi and ahead of Girlyman), but rather maturation. His returned showcased a massive shift into adulthood, that not every command a father gives is right, not every choice must be driven in black and white morality, not every instance is acting with maximal prejudice towards your foe appropriate. The Lion's book in some sense has turned him from a boy to a father, and it fit perfectly. Girlyman was just chadding against his bastard brother and so his makes perfect sense, he just felt the most excruciating pain, his eyes closed, then they opened immediately into a new area where his sons were dying by the thousands. He went full no helmet in space Lorgar betrayal girlyman and it was perfect and fitting.
And to think that Guilliman is a mediocre to middling (at best) Primarch when it comes to combat. It just shows how far above the Astartes the Primarchs truly were when it came to combat.
@@loristnorton3723 Pretty much. Guilliman may be mediocre to middling tier Primarch when it comes to personal combat, but he *is* still a Primarch. He’d still decimate anything in the universe (M31) other than the EoM or top (combat) tier Primarchs, push come to shove. The Custodes would have issues; Solitairs would have issues.
Everyone knows him as the Blueberry Boy Scout and the bean counter but everyone forgets that’s he is also known as “The avenging son” And is one of the few mentally stable primarchs with good morals and just principles So yeah when that guy is pissed ITS THE EQUIVALENT OF THE NICE GUY RIPPING OFF HIS SHIRT AND BEATING THE BULLY TO WITHIN AN INCH OF HIS LIFE
Me waking up after 7 hours of sleep: "ok better move slow and do some stretching or I might pull a muscle. And need coffee first" Guilliman waking after 10,000 years of sleep: "ok time to start cutting chaos space marines in half"
This is terrifying. He is a fabled legend of ol, part of a super human "race" so damn powerful and capable that it makes the already super human space marines look like nothing but normal augmented humans. This being is resurrected in mid combat, which is already an awe striking event, but on top of that he is covered in never before seen advanced armor, the blazing sword of the emperor in hand, and wearing a gaze of pure hate and contempt that even his very allies that revived him are terrified, blood turning the ice when his gaze turns to them. This man is so intimidating that just standing there made this entire chaotic warfare instantly stop and fall silent, his presence so great it's choking. It's comparable to a wrathful God awakening from a long slumber with visible rage and blood thirst in it's eyes.
I mean you have to feel for the Black Legion a little. You’re on a raid, going to desecrate a primarch’s shrine and destroy him while asleep only to have him wake up. You may think they were being brave but I think it was more “f**k it, I’m already dead, may as well go out swinging”.
Ahh that it would have been! Hopefully we can still get some good Yarrick books from before his death, maybe some good continued redemption for him! and of course, Thanks for watching!
Wonder who's going to be next primarch to return. We have an administrator primarch and a warrior/tactician primarch now. So maybe the next primarch would an artificer primarch - Vulkan maybe? I'd really hope for the Gorgon, but sadly we all know this won't happen. Or maybe we can have a redeemed primarch - a traitor returning to the fold? I know it's a hopeless wish and would probably break the lore too much, but depending on who returns I'd find it extremely fun. Maybe Perturabo spent the last 10k years going to a therapy?
I am very excited to see who next! I am fairly certain Fulgrim will be the next overall but for the loyalists? There is so much fun potential! I think my money is on the Khan, but it could just as easily be Corax or Vulkan I'd think! I tend to agree that they likely won't bring a traitor primarch back into the fold but Clonegrim is always possible, too! and, thanks for watching!
My money is on Russ, because of his relationship with the Lion will make it interesting, or Rogal, we have the general, the statesman and now the Praetorian
Absolutely! I just need to get around to some of the excerpts I have planned, then recording and editing them. Might take a bit but I do hope to at some point cover all of the legions! Thanks for watching!
This precise moment was one of those rare instances where literally every single chaos god likely had to change most if not all of their plans do to a single event.
@@danielquintonvo you really have the timing with the music and pivotal moments in the stories gone to a T.. places so much emphasis on the gravitas of the moment..
I actually really liked Guilliman's ressurection. I do not see why it got so much hate. It shook up the settings and the stakes are still incredibly high
I think that's why some didn't like it. He kinda overshadows everyone else and shakes up things . It's not a coincidence that marvel got really popular and they put in some basicly superheros into 40k so you kinda got the vibe they were trend chasing when they bought him back.
Insane that this is the moment that changed EVERYTHING. You could argue which is the best primarch, but GMan had to be the first one to come back. Every return now is about linking up with him and how it’ll affect the Imperium, and that impact will be lessened by every subsequent return.
I like to think that at the moment the librarian felt Guilliman looking at him, time seemed to stop. And in that moment, Guilliman moved at merely Astartes speed.
“His second strike smashed a traitor terminator into a bronze and marble column with enough force to drive the chaos-worshipper clean through it.” I mean… say what you will about the Ultramarines and Guilliman, he’s not the greatest duelist or most combat-oriented of the primarchs, but my dude is still punching terminators across the room through columns. He might not take Angron single-handedly like the Lion, but he’s holding the Imperium together and can still throw hands when needed.
Actually, Guilliman did take Angron on, alongside Lorgar. Granted Angron was dying, but he clutched a 2v1 and left both of them as bad as he was by the end of it. Angry Guilliman is a force to be reckoned with.
@@UncleAsmos2005 - Granted, but that was during the heresy / before Angron ascended to become a daemon prince. (Lorgar was completing the ritual during that campaign, but after the duel.) I was more referring to the 42nd millennium and going forward, hence why I referenced the Lion (i.e. successfully dueled Angron and won in Arks of Omen). Your point is taken though, Guilliman’s had a few instances of going “beast-mode” and fighting above the level we’d otherwise expect, and his temper is definitely shorter than ever post-resurrection. To be clear, Ultramarines & Guilliman are actually my favorite/personal chapter & primarch - have been since 1998, 3rd edition / pre-Ward, when I painted my first tactical squad - I just try to give fair assessments and hype up the other chapters/primarchs equally. We’re all having fun when everyone feels like their dudes get their moment to shine. 😎
Out of alk the evils The warp can conger, out of all the wickedness Mankind can produced, the Emperor will finally send on to them, only Guillaume,(for now) Rip and tear till it is done!
