Angron mocking another person for failing to protect someone close to them is...ironic.
@PerErik-e5u

I'r you're talking about what happened on Nuceria, that was not Angron's fault but the Big E teleporting him away before he could die (probably not though since he's a Primarch ) with his friends and family, being the terrible dad that Big E is. He could have chosen to stand with him in battle and he'd have Angron's loyalty and fealty forever. Makes you wonder if Malcador and E planned or at least foresaw the Heresy and choosing to manipulate the Primarchs most likely to fall to Chaos, but least likely to succeed 100%.
@enghi8309
@enghi8309 Месяц назад
@@PerErik-e5u Actually it's more complicated than Big E being an asshole. All the group of Angron was doomed by the nails and Nuceria was ready to surrender to the empire by negociation. If he had intervene it would have ended in a similar situation with an Angron hating Big E and his Empire and a lot of death to conquerer the planete and all of that for the same result. The only things that woudl have satisfied Angron was to die there and that would be a really big wast of ressource. So the Big E made the choice that let him use as much as he can Angron. It's not just being a bad dad it's being a the cold and calculator monster that Big E. It's only mistake like always is to misjudge how fast Angron would become a menace to the Imperium
@sqocks8254
@sqocks8254 Месяц назад
@@PerErik-e5u What happened on Nuceria was by all means Angron's fault though. The irony is that Angron is mocking Argel Tal for failing to protect Cyrene Valantion even though he himself utterly failed to protect anyone he cared about (and even directly lead most of them to their deaths himself) on Nuceria. All of this happened *before* the Emperor even knew that Angron was on Nuceria, he wasn't even in the system at that time. None of the events that made Angron's mask off moment ironic were effected by the Emperors actions. And I don't meant to be rude, but the rest of your speculation and conspiracy theories seems even less... sound.
@Ravil322
@Ravil322 Месяц назад
@@sqocks8254And how Angron was supposed to conquer his world when his brains were partially replaced and entire planet was in open systemic opposition to him. It's like giving a child a knife and expect him to beat a SWAT team. All these polemics are such a nonsense. If you really need to find an excuse to blame Angron is a butchers nailing his legion and maybe not going after the emperor some time after
@sqocks8254
@sqocks8254 Месяц назад
@@Ravil322 I don't mean to be rude, but it almost seems like your comment was meant for an entirely different comment section. No one was discussing Angron's chances of conquering Nuceria or how he could have achieved it. We were discussing the irony of Angron mocking Argel Tal for failing to protect Cyrene Valantion even though he himself utterly failed to protect anyone he cared about (and even directly lead most of them to their deaths himself) on Nuceria. PerErik asserted that what happened to Angron's loved ones on Nuceria was the fault of the Emperor. I pointed out that this is an impossibility by virtue of chronology. No one was engaging in polemics or searching for excuses to blame Angron. We were merely discussing and rectifying any misconceptions in regards to the turn of events. It's explicitly noted in his Primarch book that Angron dismissed all (sound) tactical advise from other gladiators as he made his moves and that this dismissal may have cost him his uprising. He took up the position of leader and lead all his followers to their end. Also; May I suggest you reread your comment and check its grammar/sentence structure before you post it, it's rather difficult to figure what you are to convey. I'm not sure what your were trying to say in the 2nd half of your last sentence.

I like how it shows even the other traitor legions mistrust towards lorgar and the word bearers due to just how long they were preparing for the heresy before it happened.

It didn’t work? No. It didn’t. When people get so vehemently butthurt about what Khârn said to Sigismund in Warhawk I cannot help but think that they know nothing of Khârn. Up until Khârn the Bloody died sieging the Imperial Palace he knew he was a broken son from a broken father. A failure of ideals bent to slaughter… he knew what he was and that he was to blame for every time he stood by and let them cut themselves apart. But he knew where he was broken, how he was broken and why. He was at least self-aware enough to know what he was. “Not… as… damaged, as… you.”
@Fullgrym
@Fullgrym 2 дня назад
"Butthurt"? No, just people seeing Kharn taking monumental amounts of copium. Sigismund proved to be the better fighter by besting Kharn AND the better man by believing and fighting for something greater than himself. Kharn knew/understood both of these and his only answer is practically "no u".
@rustkarl
@rustkarl День назад
@@Fullgrym Only proving my point that you know nothing of him. The narration itself quite clearly says that Khârn sees in Sigismund what the Imperium would become and it horrifies him. He is not malding over having been beaten (I am however because there has yet to be a satisfactory answer as to why Sigismund could suddenly do that when previously he got owned.) he is disgusted by the soulless war machine that Sigismund has become and will spread to humanity. You know who else had the same thought? Guilliman. You know, the guy who basically despised everything the World Eaters stood for. “Better we had burned in the fires of Horus’ ambition than lived to see this.” the Imperium of 10,000 years later appalls those who built it during the Great Crusade. His answer isn’t some childish uno reverse card, it’s a statement that what he’s become isn’t worth it.
@Fullgrym
@Fullgrym День назад
@@rustkarl And what did Guilliman also do? Discuss with his Eldar advisor/ambassador and his other close advisors what it means for something, as in his father, to be a God. And what did Guilliman learned? That there is power in worship - not warp power, but power nonetheless, and that his father certainly covers the most common descriptions of a god. And that all the worship towards Guilliman himself also has an effect - Guilliman was directly asked if he really thinks it's mere coincidence the warpstorms calm when his fleet travels in the warp, or that he's winning battles that should not have been won. So, in short, don't nitpick random Guilliman quotes while disregarding the final development of his thoughts. About Kharn - yes, his answer IS a childish uno reverse card. Sigismund being a soulless warmachine? You mean a warrior who fights with precision and purpose, instead being a deranged butcher like Kharn himself?
@rustkarl
@rustkarl День назад
@@Fullgrym You make it sound like Khârn had the option to contemplate the fact. He realised it the moment before he died. After that he was Khorne’s. And the fact is that the first reaction of practically anyone from the Great Crusade and before on seeing the Imperium is dismay or disgust, and for good reason. It is the remains of a broken dream, what would have been a resurgence of humanity’s golden age instead broken and rotted into its most perverted mockery. A defilement of the dream that it rose from. That is what Guilliman saw before steeling his resolve to hold the pieces together, acceptance of reality is not the same as approval. The grand irony of it all being that much of what kept the Imperium afloat is what is at the heart of its rot, the example that Sigismund and Keeler set kept it alive and turned it into an abomination in equal measure. The Imperium is seen as the most terrible regime in human history for a reason, it’s not meant to be admired but pitied and feared for the abhorrent necessities of its survival. In trying to unite humanity it shackled the species to its fate and dragged mankind down with it. Also, add one to the ‘you missed the point by idolising them’ squad, Sigismund’s little apotheosis is one of the last nails in the coffin for humanity’s future, not a triumph of warfare. So broken by purpose he can hardly be called human where at least a shred remains in Khârn before his soul goes to the Blood God. And that is what Khârn sees in his last moment as himself. Make no mistake, I am not beatifying the Betrayer, or rather who would become the Betrayer. Only in this moment he is terrifyingly correct and it appalls him.

Bravo, beautifully done! And a very interesting choice to make Kharn's voice slavic-accented. Of all the characters of the Heresy, I feel like Kharn is the one who has the most range of interpretations; I've seen him depicted as being of a wide variety of races and backgrounds, and oddly, they pretty much all work, which has got to say something good about how he's written.
