KHERGIT KHANATE Complete Faction Overview 

VORTAC Khuzaits (ancestors of khergits) will be probably the best faction in bannerlord.

Eh they would be alright but like if you've played Floris, foot archers wreck horse archers so it's still pretty balanced but I too would love to see a proper horse archer AI

you lost it when you said formations. the only way to win against cavalry is to keep your formation. the only reason Khergits are "ok" is that they train fast and u can run fast in the map to avoid battles you cant win. they suck at sieges cause low armor and health stats. and to beat the game you have to siege and get castles and towns. so. they are bad.

@@grassrootsdictator5701 peasant women upgrade to sword sisters at max rank, and don’t have helmet. Bandits upgrade to whatever recruits they are found in. Like taiga:vaegir recruit, mountain:rhodok, sea raider:nord, forest:Swadian, steppe:khergit, desert:Sarranid. Now, man hunters turn into slave drivers, which turn into slave hunter, then slave crusher, then slaver chief. The man hunter “faction” is only useful when combined with other stronger Calvary as they don’t have iron flesh and are only good for taking prisoners.

Peasants are god tier

Manhunter/slaver units are always weaker than the equivalent tier of faction cavalry, but allow you to consistently get prisoners for profit. Having a small contingent of them either embedded in your cavalry or hanging behind to charge in a group of their own after you've mostly destroyed the enemy and capture the survivors can be a great strategy for profit, but they're not worth pursuing for winning battles. Bandit and peasant units all upgrade either into faction troops, slavers, or mercenaries. Bandits and peasants pretty much suck at fighting, but are very cheap and quick to acquire. Forest and taiga bandits can make for surprisingly useful early-game archers if you can capture them, and steppe and desert bandits are actually pretty OK light cavalry, as are brigands but they can only be acquired in small numbers through certain quests. Looters, farmers and other peasants, and mountain bandits serve best as distractions, they can be used as bait to funnel enemy forces into a killzone, or just because it's kinda funny to order peasants to charge in front of heavy cavalry. Mountain bandits are comparable to most T1 and some T2 infantry, and some have ranged weapons. Sea raiders are the exception. If you manage to capture and recruit them early game, they're comparable to Nord warriors, and you should refrain from "upgrading" them to Nord recruits until you're confident you have the time and safety to train those recruits up to warrior level. They can be excellent heavy infantry in the early-game, but they tend to sneak out of camp in the night when impressed into your service. Non top-tier mercs are basically not worth dealing with. They're expensive and wholly unremarkable, it's usually better to keep traveling to other taverns than to hire low-tier mercenaries and try to upgrade them, as the recruitment cost for low-tier mercenaries is still very high. Mercenary crossbowmen are the top-tier merc archers, they are comparable to Swadian crossbowmen, but much pricier. Pointless unless you desperately need ranged units on short notice. Mercenary cavalry are the top-tier mercenary cavalry units, they are expensive, but comparable to Vaegr Knights, maybe a little worse. Useful for temporarily filling the cavalry hole while you train up faction troops, but not worth their cost. Sword sisters are the top tier female mercenary cavalry. They are every bit as capable as their male equivalents (moreso in some ways), but cost half as much. Pursuing these units is absolutely worthwhile, they may not match Swadian knights or Sarranid Mamlukes, but they aren't far off, and are considerably cheaper than either. Bolstering your ranks with them is completely viable, but they are difficult to aquire, and all ranks of female mercenaries below T3 ("Huntswomen") are even more helpless than farmers and looters, so they must absolutely be kept out of combat. Hired blades are top-tier mercenary infantry. They are awesome, comparable to dismounted Swadian knights and not far from Rhodok or Swadian sergeants. Their performance absolutely justifies their wages until the player can train large amounts of elite heavy infantry of their own, and stocking up on them prior to sieges can work out very well. I like to use a contingent of them to lead the charge on sieges because I consider them more expendable than my elite units that I've devoted a long time to training, I usually group them under "Mercenary" and shove them into a vanguard role. Hired blades are also as fast as cavalry on the map, so they can be used by a highly mobile cavalry force with no penalty to pathfinding. An honorable mention too to mercenary swordsmen, they're not as well armed or armored as hired blades, but are cheaper and still highly capable heavy infantry, and they tend to have bigger shields than the blades do, making them less vulnerable to archers. If amassing a temporary mercenary infantry force, they can be worth acquiring too.

The issue with that is advanced horse archery AI is extremely broken and near unbeatable if the stats are good

There's this AI in the Lord of the Rings mod, Rohan horse archers are SO. FREAKING. BROKEN. O_O

The horse archers do keep riding and shooting from afar. It's the same tactic they use almost always, harrassing with their elite horse archers and the lancers charging. The only issue with them is their cavalry being unarmored, so once their knocked off their horses, they get absolutely undone. So, it has nothing to do with lack of AI tactics, more with the fact of their lack of armored horses.

I once duoed 54 khergit lancer deserters with 8 athlethics , 8 riding using swadian charger , great hammer wasnt easy but i did it

Just get Nord troops, they can kill it, or if you are marshal just call a campaign and overwelhm them

manhunters at last upgrade are my moneymakers. use them after your break the enemy lines tho. they OP af

@@dukes2874 Same here. When i'm not at war, i take like 60 manhunters and get a lot of money capturing bandits.

Bring Rhodok xbow and infantry then wear them down through attrition. Order them to line up, have your car and infantry cover the archers and go until you run out of ammo. Whittle them down like this 5 times before even thinking of taking the castle.
