Weird that there is no wireless Apple carplay for such an modern car. Nice explanation.

Right? Hyundai is finally starting to add it into newer vehicles but existing owners won't be able to utilize wireless

P.S.You also should say if you think this apply's 100% to both the 100% all electric versions as well as the hybrid, because it's not necessarily a given that every exact feature works between them even when it comes to the touch display's:

At the very beginning of the video I say that it's for the Kia Niro EV and it's very similar to what you'll find in the rest of the lineup... The only feature that's different in the EV is the EV mode with battery pre-conditioning and charging limits

@@CarsWithSteve Good, job I did skim over the video out of respect for your hard work, which I should have done before leaving my nasty comment, like I said I was in a bad mood, anyway, if you overlooked it, I left a nice comment with an incredible piece of Kia and EV intel on your main Kia NERO deep dive/test drive upload that you posted 6 months ago,

All good brother! It's definitely not anywhere near as nasty as some comments I've had before. How are you enjoying the Niro so far?

@@CarsWithSteve Oh I don't own one, I'm learning about EV's fast, and furious this past year , and currently learning all I can in preparation for my first EV I plan on getting next year. The 2023 KIA NERO EV will likely run still only apx 3,000 more than a 2022 Chevy BOLT EUV, if luck and timing are on my side come January, 2025. I'de rather have the KIA Nero, but my budget is super tight as my old ICE car and home's plumbing and cooling is falling apart this summer. Anyway the only thing I lack direct knowledge of between these two models is the finer differences when it comes to the infotainment-touch displays, my intention somehow brought your video to my random video feed, and your video is one of the better ones that really demonstrates it, I can't see what the 2022 Chevy BOLT's EUV display's could offer as a big advantage, the more I see these in action on RU-vid,

I'm leaning more towards an EV for my next primary driver as well. There are so many I've reviewed the last few months and seeing how charging isn't as bad as I thought with most of the driving I do it's pretty much a no brainer. Haven't reviewed the Bolt yet but I've heard some good things about it, just a bit smaller than the Niro. Think you'll end up going new or used?

How much of all this great info actually apply's only to the model year he failed to mention: Is this a 2022 Kia NIRO? a 2023 Kia NIRO? or a 2024 Kia NIRO ?

Little bit of automotive history coupled with bad marketing: in the 1970s, Chevrolet added the Nova to it's lineup. We all know what a nova is: an exploding star that becomes an enormously bright object in space. Lots of great advertising imagery to associate that with name, right? So why, GM asked for several years, are sales of Nova's so appallingly bad in Latin America? It turns out that in Spanish, "No Va" means "Won't Go." You'd think in an organization as big as GM someone within their bureaucracy would think to check the languages of countries to whom they export vehicles and notify decision makers that there's a big language problem with the name of the car. So, cut to the 2020's, and a Korean automobile company has created a vehicle that, while isn't spelled the same, sounds and awful lot like "Nero." I don't know about you, but I'm not sure I'd want to own a car that sounds like it was named after an emperor who fiddled while Rome burned. Just a thought.

Well damn! I hadn't put those two things together but that's a great point. There's always something with pronunciation and words being lost in translation. Thanks for this one Patrick!
