Buyers are more attracted to long list of features, interior and exterior looks. A small proportion of buyers buy a car purely based on its driving dynamics.

Sir, m ur huge fan! Please help, it's my 1st ever question to u, pls answer.. My father wanted to buy a car which should be stylish and classy. He will drive in a town only, 100kms of circumference. He can't manage manual car as he is an old age man; so our preference is automatic car only. I was confused between Venue DCT, Magnite CVT & Aura automatic. We live in Amravati and no Nissan showroom is here until now. Nagpur dealers arrange servicing camp monthly once in Amravati. Which car should I buy for him, should I hurry and buy Venue/Aura in December/Diwali or should I take a risk of Magnite? He is a government servant and I dnt want his hard earned money to go vain.. It's his 1st car, we are not going to sell it off ever.. or should I wait for new i20? Pls guide. His height is 5.7... He might feel previlege in driving compact SUV😁

I personally hate the rear design of the Hyundai Venue. Looks like they mainly focused on the front design. Kia Sonet looks aggressive and handsome from the front and on the rear too.

Keeping aside the Hardware and Tech. We all need to check, how reliable is this Power train in the Long run. This being a turbo petrol engine, more mechanical parts are required, So more wear and tear compared to Naturally Aspirated Engines.

The venue sits lower and is slower but is perfect for new or young drivers because of the variety of modern and straight forward dash, tech as well as safety features it boasts in lower trims. The seltos feels like an suv but the interior dash is too busy for me and the safety and tech equipment are less exciting and confidence inspiring in lower trims compared to the venue. It’s a real head scratcher to choose 😞

For the 1 litre turbo engine with the IMT transmission, isn't the turbo lag a pain in the ass? Like I have to drive the car for 90% of the times in a busy city like Bangalore (daily office going purposes), then isn't the turbo lag something that would screw the experience everyday, everytime? is there a way to get rid of it, or is it something that one has to live with?

I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I went with the Tucson because I wanted AWD. It has been one of the biggest mistakes. The first was getting a Hyundai. They don’t care about their consumers. My car has been blowing headlights- having electrical issues (my auto windows go back down when you roll them up, my rear windshield wipers go off whenever they want, my break light seems to go on and off at random. I have reached out because as a company they should only want the best products out there. I was told that “because my car is over 3 years old. There is nothing they can do for me. To bring it to a dealer and “see what I can get” for it. I owe more than it’s worth because one thing they don’t tell you when you buy a Hyundai is they depreciate way faster than you can make payments to survive. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI.

The rear seat is not where you'd want to be if you're anywhere around 6 feet or have a wide body frame, which is a shame as the sonet is otherwise top notch. They could have booted a some boot space and improved on the rear seat comfort.

I agree with your verdict though in my opinion has made a big mistake by not giving paddle shifters in Sonate. All the other extra features that it gives can not compensate for the lack of driving pleasure! This one shortcomings may cost it quite a few customers at least for the DCT version because the buyers of this category value the finer things of driving experience much more than ordinary buyers.

10:08 Instills more confidence on potholes..cz you're driving in India good sir and out here..they are plenty lol. Stop driving on perfect roads and find more realistic use case conditions for once. The suspension setup will make or break your experience..even more so than having 10-20bhps of lesser power or +3s on your 0-100kmph dash if that is even relevant out here lol. Also ESP TC & CSC (NOT)

Respect for the Nexon and EcoSport! Superb in their own right! Pure driving pleasure indeed. Kudos Kia! 🙏👍 Hyundai has been trumped, again. The Venue is a great choice as well but it's not as appealing as the Sonet! Hopefully the next Sonet update should provide fully loaded manuals and paddle shifters for the DCT?!? Better gearing ratios as well. Hoping to see the Bolero BS6 review as well. Cheers Autocar India and Hormazd sir. ❤️

The Venue SX 1.0 Manual Petrol seems to be the best value of money, if one buys the car for being driver centric and with balanced features. There's no manual available in 1.0 Petrol and Sonet is costlier because it only has iMT and other bling blings.
