Hi thomas. One suggestion when reviewing suvs. Test them on snow or muddy uphill and off camber surfaces. I personally take my suv off road because we have the opportunity in Vancouver Canada. Although others may not use it off road they may use it in snowy conditions. A muddy slippery surface will mimic a snowy surface and provide viewers an opportunity to see how the suvs perform. Thanks

I love my Canadian Santa Fe with AWD, 6 cyl, and top winter tires. ( I keep them on all year in cottage country). No running board. Large battery, Cloth seats with seat covers. 5 seats. I don’t care about the dashboard, I care about going here-there and everywhere all year around with what is essentially a covered truck (with the seats down,) without the cost of filling and repairing a truck. Undercoat and clean the salt and mud off between adventures. Enjoy.

This is one of the best and a solid review show w/o the gimmicks and bad one liners... I hope we can hit sub no. of 200K by end of July and then 500K by end of the years.

Korean cars, KIA and Hyunday became little more expensive BUT ... they are awsome copetitors for all ETALON CARS from their segments! ... Also they are very RELIABLE CARS !!! And that 7 YEARS WARRANTY tells everything :) ... Congrats Korea ! :)

7 year warranty is mostly a bogus. It's 2 years of regular warranty and then 5 years for some components that don't break either way (like the engine block). I don`t know in your country but in Romania, Kia 7 YEARS WARRANTY is for all the CAR, all the COMPONENTS, 150.000km or 7 years .... and for Hyundai 5 years warranty for ALL the car WITHOUT km limit.

Great review. Our family just got the 2016 version, minor changes compared to the new one. Super easy to drive and park, enormous with space and all 7 feel happy i the ride the car. Probobly the best car its segment

Great Review Thomas. I share your view about physical controls for volume/heating etc. A HUD (even a basic one) is quite a good idea. With Kia/Hyundai you can't spec items individually - if you want ACC but no leather - tough. No AEB except on most expensive top spec. No bright coloured interior except on top-spec with leather. I think that the Tiguan beats all the compare options in quality, but the Kodiaq has a better price for what you get. German cars are hard to beat. (And I am not a fan of asian cars).

young bae It's not about the same parts, but how you use them, that's the difference between cars. Btw, leather is way too expensive and in summer too hot, fabric (I hope that I wrote it correct) is great.

In Korea, German car's market share of foreign-branded car market is about 60% which is ranked as no.1 Japanese market share of foreign-branded car market in Korea is only around 15%. lol by 2007 do you mean a high end luxury 2007 SUV like BMW or Mercedes. Because remember.. this is a Kia.. half the price of an X5. The fact you can get such styling in such affordability is fantastic. not to mention that if you consider the styling to be "2007" then looks like BMW is still living in the past also. Basically if you havent caught on already, i'm implying that you're an idiot and don't know what you're talking about.

Damifox the Rexton is outdated from the start as it is a body on frame rather than a monocoque . That's no better than a utility pick up truck. The Americans might be happy with that junk but Europeans want better.
