It is time for the 2022 Kibler Valley River Run! This is a fantastic fund raiser put on by the Red Bank Ruritans each year and takes place on the Kibler Valley section of the Dan River. Kayakers from all over Virginia and North Carolina descend upon Fox Hollar as property owner Dave Fox plays host to the event. Come along for a rocking good time as we paddle our way into memories while supporting the Ruritans. It is a kayak race. It is a casual float. It is a relaxing afternoon. It is an amazing time no matter why you come! Join the fun!

Race and all aside. You took first in heart, for pushing to make sure you could take a little girl down the river. And in the junior division, we have P5 for jumping in to to cover someone so they could do their tandem run.

When P5 stepped up and jumped in the tandem with Evan so he could be in the race, and you taking Addison on her first run down some whitewater, THAT is what makes you the River Kings. Everything else is just a bonus.

Wow that looks like a fun river to kayak and a really fun event. Do they control the river to get it moving like that and if so is there a website to see when they release water?

They do, but they do not produce a schedule. This particular day they do so the race can be organized. The dam is controlling a small lake and it is very rain/level dependent.
