I’m sure you can subacute any sausage or hot dogs you like. I like the jalapeño chicken sausages from Trader Joe’s and I always feel chicken is healthier than red meat and pork. So, I will substitute the polish sausage with the chicken sausage. Although, I will also try it with the Polish Sausage if I find the Polish Sausage at an international grocery store. I will see if our local grocery stores actually carry Polish Sausage.

Onions are used in practically everything that is cooked with meat since it enhances the flavor. Most soups and stews also require onions even though it it is cooked down so you don’t see the onions.
